Hextech Contracts?
Hi there, rampage211 here.
Today I am proposing I new Hextech format to LoL, Consider this... You are needing a hextech key but you are tired of loosing games because of more unskilled to your level players. It happens right? and you need to win to get keys which can really blow your day. So here is the plan... Contracts!! No not like call of duty *[slayer-jinx-unamused]* okay maybe a little like call of duty. But here is the difference... There would be three types of Hextech chests, Type one being Skin Boxes ; Two being champion boxes ; third being ward boxes. Wouldn't it be great to just be able to chose what loot you were getting?
Contracts are a little more complicated than just selecting one and getting so many creep kills in one ranked game or champion kills in any game mode. They would have to be harder than that or it would just be broken I tell you, absolutely broken. You would have to have combination of a few things, at the least per game mode conditions. An example of a contract would be the following:
Contract name : Garen's Revenge
Contract Type : Champion Skin Box
Time Limit : 2 hours ( roughly enough time for 2-3 games )
Requirements : 200 Creep Kills , 1000 Tower Damage , KDR of 1.0 or better. ( Requirements can be spread among games in the time limit )
Game mode restrictions : Twisted Treeline excluding bots ( so draft - ranked would be the game mode to play for this contract )
In game the options menu would allow you to open a small window or sidebar that has a check list of your contract requirements and which have been already fulfilled. Another option would to have it have it in chat as a PM to a player, slang texted maybe as far as "Contract : creeps 50/200 killed" and it be a message per every 50 or quarter. This would bring a more challenge enforcing roll to players since they are fighting to achieve a goal rather than just pushing down towers to nexus.
In the end and in conclusion, Hextech keys would be a thing of the past. You would have to complete box contracts to receive the item loot inside. Agreed that the example contract may be a little simple at times, but time cool-downs and daily contracts would make the game that much more fun. Please leave your comments below letting me know how well this would play for you and if you have any ideas on what you would change.
