Champ Concept: Ardayn the Dominator

Hello,

Here is a quick write up for a champ concept. The character's name is Ardayn. As far as physical appearances go, he looks similar to Mifune from Soul Reaper, minus all the swords.

ARDAYN the Dominator

Quick Bio: The human mind is a versatile thing. Put to good use, it can create many wonders and solve many problems. The opposite also holds true. The leaders of Noxus were very fascinated by the human mind and so they researched the human mind via experimentation. Ardayn is the result of that experimentation.

After years of torturous procedures, Ardayn gained the ability to manipulate matter with his mind -- telekinesis. This ability did not come without a price, however. These experiments also destroyed Ardayn's ability to feel any emotions other than anger and, on occasion, loneliness. Upon mastering his abilities, Ardayn "released" himself from the Noxian lab and began to explore the world he had never seen. Being unable to form emotional connections with typical people, Ardayn wandered as a recluse until he discovered the League. Now aware of the world and its politics, Ardayn was keen to seek any opportunity for revenge against his Noxian oppressors and so he joined the League.

Basics: Ardayn is an AP MARKSMAN designed to be played as either a mid lane AP carry or bot lane AD carry/poke support. His auto attacks consist of throwing knives at his enemies. As such, his auto attack range is not super long, like Ashe or Caitlyn. At the beginning of the game, his auto attack range is on par with Teemo's. Ardayn's passive enables him to scale very well as the game progresses and most of his power will come during the late game.

Abilities List

PASSIVE -- Matter Acceleration Ardayn utilizes his psychic powers to improve his knife throwing capabilities. As such, his auto attacks do bonus magic damage that scales with his AP (10%/20%/30%). Furthermore, his auto attack range scales with his level. It doesn't get quite as long as a max level Tristana, but it's very respectable.

Q -- Mind Bullets After a brief channel animation, Ardayn launches three successive throwing knives in a straight line. These knives do not penetrate, but apply damage from three separate sources. This means you can target champions hiding behind lines of minions; pick a low minion and press Q, watch your first or second knife kill the minion and the remaining knife or two continue to travel and hit the champ behind.

This ability has a relatively long range. Landing basic attacks reduces the cooldown on this skill. The base damage of this skill scales with its level and the bonus damage scales with Ardayn's AP (25%/30%/35% AP per knife). This ability does magic damage.

W -- Telepathic Shield Ardayn releases a burst of psychic energy around him in the shape of a globe. This damages and pushes any nearby enemies away from Ardayn and grants him a rapidly decaying shield. This ability can be used to cancel most projectiles if timed precisely - it is harder than Yasuo's wind wall.

The duration of the shield, distance of the knockback, and base damage of the ability will scale with the ability level. The bonus damage of the ability and the shield's HP amount will scale with AP. This ability does magic damage.

E -- Double Jump Ardayn uses his psychic powers to propel himself up and forwards when this ability is first used, making it similar to a dash ability in function. If the ability is used again before it finishes, Ardayn will use his psychic powers to execute a double jump, making him invulnerable for a brief amount of time. This ability can store up to two charges at a time.

The distance of the initial leap as well as the duration of the invincibility provided by the double jump both scale with ability level. Furthermore, this ability's cool down also scales with move speed (i.e. higher move speed = lower cooldown)

ULTIMATE -- R -- Domination Ardayn uses his psychic powers to physically Dominate an enemy. Once Dominated, Ardayn gains control of the enemy for for 3/5/7 seconds depending upon the skill rank. While dominating an enemy, Ardayn will stand still and channel. If he is removed from his channel by a stun or other ability, the enemy champion will no longer be Dominated. While Dominated, Ardayn restricts the enemy champion from breathing and so they take 2/3/4% HP base magic damage each second. Bonus damage is determined by AP in a manner similar to Amumu's W.

At rank one, Ardayn can control the dominated champion's movement and use their auto attacks, although they will only hit for 50% damage. At rank two, Ardayn can control the dominated champion's movement, the dominated champion gets a movement speed buff while dominated, and auto attacks can be used for full damage. At rank three, all of the previous conditions apply and the enemy champion also gets an attack speed buff of 30% while Dominated.

Build Paths This is a pretty versatile champ that can be played more or less anywhere, given the changes to the jungle. I see him as an AP Mid or an AD Carry due to his kit. I feel like the following build path would work pretty well for him.
