[Champion Concept] Grit, the Noxian Prizefighter

In Noxus, where strength is regarded as the most important aspect of any person, there are few events that can hold the population's attention like the battles in the arena. Of all the warriors employed by the Noxian elite to glorify the use of violence and to sate the bloodthirst of its people, few are as skilled as Grit. Over the years he rose to prominence as one of the most popular fighters to ever enter the ring, winning nearly every fight he ever participated in with only one punch.

Grit is a melee bruiser who uses Fury as a resource, and is a very high-risk, high-reward champion. He is encouraged to stack health, and wants to get up close and personal with the enemy's squishy targets.

His Passive is Showmanship: item 3084 He gains 2 fury for every 1 HP he is missing, which decays over time whenever he is not being damaged. Damage from minions will only stack his fury 1:1. This pool is proportional to his health, so his max fury is equal to his max health.

His Q is Piston Punch: item 1051 Grit's next auto attack is replaced by a skillshot which passes through targets hit. If the target is in his normal AA range, it will deal bonus damage based on his max HP to that target, but will do reduced damage to all targets beyond the first.

His W is Body Blows: item 3901 His next auto attack will slow the target if it has its back turned, but will stun a target that is facing him.

His E ability is Brawling: summoner 21 He temporarily gains a shield based on his max HP which applies the cold steel debuff on targets that attack him, slows his movement speed, and increases his attack speed.

Finally, his Ultimate ability is his Knockout Punch: item 3025 Once his fury is at 100%, meaning he is at half health or lower, his ultimate unlocks. His ultimate will stay available until his fury has completely decayed, at which point it will be unavailable until he reaches maximum fury again. When his ultimate is activated, he will dash to the target and hit the poor individual for 100% of his current fury, knocking the target up.

I wanted to create a champion that really embodied the feeling of a boxer who learned his fighting in the coliseum. He moves and dances back and forth, absorbing the blows of his enemies to demoralize them and give his audience suspense, waiting with bated breath to see who will deliver the killing blow first. Then, when he finally seems beaten, he delivers a powerful blow to his enemy and leaves their fate up to the crowd's rule. His Q was meant to illustrate that his punches are so powerful, the wind produced by them are enough to dent the armor of his foes, and if you are within reach of those punches, the force of impact can still knock the wind out of a friend behind you. His W was to point to him specifically targeting the kidney of his opponent if their back is turned, and simply knocking the wind out of an opponent facing him. Finally his E was to demonstrate that while he prefers to finish things with his trademark knockout punch, he is also not shy to get into a long and drawn out melee with many opponents.

I'd like to think he'd be friends with Draven, as the two would see some camaraderie in one another as Noxian entertainers, as well as his drinking buddies Jax & Gragas.

Tell me what you guys think!

hey!^_^ Here is my opinion in your concept!

Passive: Kind of a strange way to generate fury, it also punishes him for not taking damage as if he doesn't he won't be able to have access to his ult.

Ult: kind of goes with the passive, it encourages the player to dive into the fray and take damage instead of playing smart.

Overall: Most of your abilities are fine by themselves but overall the kit has some issues, his mobility is available for him to use when he's half hp which means until than he's very easily kitable. This also puts him into a weird situation, because he's immobile he must build hp/tank to survive but if he builds like that he lacks damage to actually burst the carries.

I feel like that ult would probably one shot squishies. Maybe lower it to 33% of his fury instead? If I stack items like titanic hydra, steraks, and cleaver, he will one shot any non tank (bruiser or lower) that he ults. Its a cool concept, but it needs to be toned down HARD.

The reason why his ult is rather OP is because I figured it would be balanced by his needing to be at roughly half health to even use it. Combining that with his inherent beefiness since he needs to stack health to be useful, I wanted the counterplay to be around staying out of his reach and kiting him. Thanks for the feedback everyone!

Now if only Rito would see this.
