Thresh ulti / little rework?

I believe his ult is somewhat useless.. its zoning but u usually can only get 1 person in it.. I would like some kinda of ult that would allow u to either 1. like illaoi's soul steal move you would steal as thresh and if u killed it they would take more damage from thresh and thresh's souls would try to attack him (similar to the tentacles) Or 2. A mode where if u use it you'd go from support thresh... to well... soul hunter thresh.. gain new abilitys for a limited amount of time that are offensive and maybe make him 100% offensive no defensive skill , you would have to balance this by making it use mana or something while he's in the mode. I would just like thresh to be better because compared to the other champs that are supp he is a little under powered.. his hook only tugs twice and doesn't pull, you do have the option to go to them but i mean it doesn't do any extra damage or extend the hook duration. He's somewhat tank but can be ganked quite easily.
