As a child Cicero grew up in a run down shack with his parents and his baby brother, and without a penny to their name, his parents decided to sell their bodies to shady scientists that needed live test subjects while Cicero took care of his brother, but at the end of every 'experiment' they would get cheated out of their pay. every night Cicero would have to tend to his parents suffering, the pain and agony in which that they felt was only equal to the love that had for their sons so they endured the experiments and saved whatever they could send the boys to Demacia in hopes that they could live better lives, but a terrible plague hit the slums of Zaun, and one day at the tender age of two ,his baby brother had succumbed to the plague and, all the care that his brother could give it was for not later on in the next morning his baby brother passed. it was the clearest, sunniest day Zaun had ever had and Cicero hated it, and ever since then hated a clear sunny day. Not long after his parents took a job with a doctor who was trying to find a cure for the plague and had disappeared for five straight days. Cicero looks frantically to find them then finally on the fifth day he discovers their corpses on the side of the road. covered in boils, scars, missing limbs and gutted wide open . it was even a miracle that he can tell it was his parents. he fell to his knees screaming and weeping holding their mangled bodies in his arms not even caring if he got the plague himself. It was the worst storm the Zaun had ever experienced and after that day, Cicero would hate the rain.

Not long after he buried his entire family Cicero discovers that the doctor that killed his parents did, in fact, find a cure for the plague and began mass producing it making billions. hearing about this made Cicero enraged but also curious. "Did my parents' deaths help? Or were their deaths in vain?", these questions had to be answered! he begins to track the doctor map his movements to catch him at a point where he was alone. the day finally arrives he confront the doctor in an old alleyway the he takes as a shortcut. all the money and success seemed to have changed the ounce humble yet do whatever it take to win doctor into a social bigot that believes himself to be above all the rest of the world. Cicero begins to ask his questions, but the doctor didn't seem to care. he seemed more annoyed than anything else, but that made Cicero angrier. he pressed ounce more asking about his parents, but the doctor cut him short saying, " Honestly kid I have no idea who your parents are a lot of people died in my lab and in the end it was a lab rat that that helped me get the cure." Cicero had been destroyed emotionally again could not believe the words that came out of the doctor's mouth. "Well since you're the child of one of those worthless souls I suppose I'll give you their pay." All Cicero could hear was that distinct 'clinck' of a coin being flicked and hitting the ground. he heard this two more times then the footsteps of the doctor walking away hearing the words, "that last one was me being generous." All of the emotions he felt in that moment were taken over by rage, "two coins!? Two coins are all that my parent's deaths were worth!?" He gripped the three coins in his hand and begins to clench them so tight that his hand begins to bleed. "I SWEAR ON FAMILY'S GRAVE!" throwing his fist in the air as if saying this to the gods themselves, "I WILL NEVER GO HUNGRY OR BE WITHOUT MONEY EVER AGAIN! AND I WILL BE THE ONE TO RULE ZAUN!!!"

After that day, something in Cicero changed. He was no longer the kind-hearted child that he was. No, he was so emotionless never cracking a smile. The first thing on his mind was to destroy the doctor that killed his parents but death was too good for him he must destroy everything that he built on top of the corpses he made. the first step of his revenge was to obtain all of the money that his parents saved and bribed government officials into forging documents that made him appear to be the doctor's legitimate son while finding out if the doctor had any family in Zaun and with luck discovered five relatives. the next step was then to obtain the lab rat that helped find the cure and use the last of his parent's cash to pay a scientist to mutate the plague to be immune to the cure. Next, he systematically searched and infected every family member of the doctor so that when he went to treat them his cure would become worthless and he would have to hold his family as the die just like Cicero and his brother. and finally he poisons the doctors drink with the plague and on his deathbed while his servant knocks in saying his son has come to see him. The doctor couldn't believe the words that came to his ears, as he turned his head to see who claimed to be his son when he himself wasn't even married. His eyes widened pupils dilated out of shock. "what wrong father you look like you've just seen a ghost." Cicero never smiled but this was an occasion he allowed the corner of his mouth to form a small grin. the grin was so smug and twisted that it nearly scared the poor doctor to death. "you do remember me, right?" the doctor fragile was racing, " How could I forget. You were the boy in the alleyway." Cicero's smirk was gone, "yes and after months of planning and work, we finally meet again." " But you aren't my son. I've never had a son." " True but this government is so corrupt it only takes talking to the right people to change all that." " Why? Why have you done all this" " You see while I was in the planning stages of my revenge and investigating you learning about you I almost gave up. I thought to myself. He didn't really kill my parents. it's not his fault the plague hit our slums." The wither doctor began to weep. " That's right doctor. I found it your old research journal. The journal that contained all the answers that I sought." The doctor could feel the anger pouring out of Cicero's eye. he wanted to look away but couldn't "YOU STARTED ALL OF IT! YOU!!! you were trying to make a biological weapon" "Please, I'm sorry" the doctor whimpers "YOU FAILED AT CONTROLLING THE WEAPON AND IT GOT OUT INTO THE CITY!!!!! YOU KILLED MY BABY BROTHER! MY TWO YEAR OLD BABY BROTHER! AND THEN YOU HAD THE NERVE TO TORTURE MY PARENTS IN YOUR HELLISH EXPIREMENTS TAKING THEM AWAY FROM ME ASWELL!!!" Cicero had finally let eight months of hate out and finally calmed down wiping the tears from his eyes. "All so that you can cover up your own shit mess. and then there you are acting like you saved the city from some great terror even though it was you all along." "I'm so sorry" "How can you be sorry when you can't even remember the people you killed.' Cicero straightened himself out ,'You are going to die tonite, and with no family to come and claim your belongings and deny my legitimacy, I will take everything from you, and I will use your money and death as the stepping stone for my reign over Zaun the like of which have never been seen." the doctor coughed wildly ," you can't become a king of Zaun." Cicero stands on a stool to overlook the dying man and pulls out his last coin. " I held onto cause I knew you would need it." Cicero flicks the coin onto the poor man's chest, "That last one is cause I'm generous," Cicero left the room and locked it shut. the doctor died an hour later clenching the coin to his last breath. the rest of Cicero's plan went off without a hitch. he paid back all those who aided him in his scheme and with interest and offered them a spot in his future endeavours.

With his new found power and money, Cicero began down a path of evil. a path he intended in the palm of his hand. Twenty years later Cicero is just on the verge accomplishing his goal with the entire Zaun criminal underworld under his control and the rest of the world thinking he's just some lowlife loanshark mage. But Cicero isn't just done, after years of training and practice, Cicero finally masters his way of fighting and magic contracts.
