Turret dominoes? A proposed solution

So it seems that too often, even fairly early game, a couple of champions die, or even a team fight goes badly, and as a result two or even three towers fall over in rapid succession. Now, don't get me wrong, winning a team fight is exactly about that: giving an opportunity to take objectives. But it feels like too much of a steamroll of "win one team fight and then shred the base into the Nexus". So why not introduce some sort of 'activated defense system', where when a tower falls all of the other towers in that lane gain, for 30 seconds, a bonus to armor and a shield, or something along those lines. Make it so it's still just as easy to take one turret after clearing away the defenders, but make it progressively more difficult to run with the momentum. Don't make them invincible or anything, a real concerted effort by a team should be able to push through it, but Jinx getting a double and then murdering a trio of turrets seems like it's not how things should work. And limit it to just turrets in the same lane as the fallen one; want to use the opportunity to rotate and the enemy isn't defending against that? Good strategy, rather than just pushing an advantage up the same lane. Thoughts?

This sounds like it has potential to buff turrets without making games too stale, although the numbers could be hard to balance. Maybe if baron buff disabled the turret defense it would balance it out.
