Ryze rewert concept
I know posting rework/revert suggestions (Rewert) is basically useless, but whatever, i'd like to voice my opinion on what I think a champion should be like and how to balance them. Ryze in particular is not going to be touched for at least a few months and even then it'll probably only be tentative changes. Still, this is my rewert concept.
Passive: Arcane mastery
Casting an ability reduces Ryze’s other basic ability cool down's
Overload: Cooldown reset
Rune prison: Cooldown reduced by 15%
Spell flux: Cooldown reduced by 2 seconds
Q: Overload
Ryze unleashes a runic blast in target direction dealing magic damage to the first enemy struck
Cooldown: 6 seconds
**W: Rune prison ** Active: Instantly deal magic damage and root target enemy for a short duration.
Cooldown: 14
E: Spell flux
Active: Ryze hurls an orb of runic energy at the target enemy, dealing magic damage and reducing their magic resistance for 5 seconds. After striking the target, the orb splits and bounces to Ryze and up to 6 nearby enemies around the primary target, dealing the same magic damage to each. The secondary orbs then bounce back to the primary target (deals half the initial damage)
Cooldown: 14/13/12/11/10
R: Desperate power
For 6 seconds, Ryze heals for a % of ability damage dealt, gains 80 bonus movement speed and his spells deal half their damage to all nearby enemies around the primary target.
Cooldown: 40 seconds
So basically, 40% cdr with E at max rank, if Ryze casts 3 spells he resets the cooldown on his E, meaning you can QEQWQEQ. It takes 7 spell casts to reset Rune prisons cooldown, meaning you need to combo with your ultimate for a double snare.
A late game full combo with max cdr would look like
QEQWQEQRQEQWQEQ.
While not having an ultimate a full combo would instead look like QEQWQEQ, which also reduces the cool down of your W by 45%.
This I feel balances Ryzes persona as a machine gun/combo mage. The resets on his Q make him feel more smooth and spammy while the % reduction on his W means that permasnaring isn't possible.
Numbers wise imagine something similar to older iterations of Ryze.
