SS Project
A heavy knock on the door made rumble wince. Yordle reluctantly opened his eyes and dangling his paws off the bed, glared at the dark doorway of the bedroom. Hearing the insistent knocking again, he ducked into the darkness. Jumped to the door, dropping the latch, opened the door widely, yordle shivered. The cool night air immediately enveloped the area. Heimerdinger stood on the threshold flooded with starlight.
- Do you know what time it is? Rumble glanced angrily at the intruder and was about to add a few "warm" words, but stopped short, catching the scientist's lost gaze. Instead of the usual crazy lights, now helplessness was guessed in him. Rumble hesitated for a moment, then took a step towards the guest and, putting his paw on his shoulder, asked anxiously:
- What's wrong? Heimerdinger took a deep breath.
- Need help, brother. He turned his head and pointed somewhere into the darkness. Rumble stared at the star-spangled night sky for a few seconds, and then finally realized what the scientist wanted to show. Yordle's eyes opened wide and feeling that the ground was leaving from under his feet, he frantically grabbed the door jamb
The main description
The “Star shard” is an battle arena in the form of an equilateral triangle, designed for the simultaneous competition of three teams of five players. The team’s bases/respawn are located in the appropriate corners "A", "B" and "C". The arena is divided into three “climate” zones, so that players can easily move around the map. There are also 12 artifacts, monsters re-spawning points, labeled “MR” and an energy source in the center.

The basic principle of the game: the task of each team is to collect energy charges (points) and quickly get away from the "shard". The team gets charges (points) capturing key artifacts and controlling them for a short time. Main basic mechanics: (see figure below):
- artifacts "A", " B " and " C " and " II " are strictly tied to the appropriate bases;
- artifacts "I" are common for all teams;
- to get one charge (one point), the team needs to capture three obelisks: the main located at the crystal, adjacent "common" artifact and another at its base;
- if you manage to hold all three objects for 7 seconds, the energy is "pumped" to the storage at the base and the team gets a point;
- after that, the artifacts used in the energy transfer are deactivated for 30 seconds.

Additional basic mechanics:
- you need keys to activate artifacts;
- keys are obtained from three large monsters “Guardians”, which respawn is located on the border between teams’ grounds;
- one of the players loots the key from the defeated monster (at the same time one player can carry only one key, as the analog is the Rift Herald);
- the key or its holder can be highlighted on the minimap (every 20 seconds the last location is shown according to the sonar principle);
- the key can also be looted from a defeated enemy or from an already activated and destroyed artifact (the object is deactivated if the aura is destroyed);
- activation of the artifacts brings the team one point and summons a new spawn of the “Guardians” of the star shard. There are respawn monsters on the map for the destruction of which teams get experience and gold, since the battle takes place according to the classic rules of MOBA games and players need to be pumped and gain items of amplification. Victory conditions: the first team scored five energy charges, wins and leaves the "star shard" by ship or through the portal. The other two teams are considered losers and do not receive rewards for the battle.
The development of this concept pursued two main tasks:
- to maintain the relevance of your favorite characters and their skills, as well as to reveal them from a new perspective (for example, update rarely used global ultimates);
- to create a completely new and dynamic gameplay based on close teamwork.
In this way are additionally developed not only the gameplay and methods of maintain balance based on LoL mechanics, but also tools for motivating and enthralling players.
