[Champion Concept REVISITED] Omen, The Herald of Chaos
Now I know that this is kind of run down, however I have thought of how to create in full the cancelled champion, Omen, and here is how he would work. I would like to here what you think and any suggestions you might have for this.
*Role: Marksman, Mage
*Abilities: -Passive: Wall Crawler; Omen loves to climb walls, so if he is on a wall he passively gains more attack speed but has a slightly shorter range and limited angle to shoot from while perched on a wall.
-Q: Needles of Pain; While this ability is active, Omen shoots needles that stick to targets that will remain on the champion for a brief period of time when hit. Omen can recast this ability to allow the last five needles in a target to drill through the target dealing bonus magic damage and then the needles will pierce through the target and the needles become single target projectiles that will damage targets hit. Omen will have a red colored body while this is the selected ability. If another ability is cast besides passive or R, then this ability will go on cool down.
-W: Thorns of Hunger; While this ability is active, Omen shoots thorns that will remain on the champion for a brief period of time when hit. When recasted, the thorns will root targets hit based on how many thorns that were in the target and then slow the target afterwards. Omen then, after a delay gains a short boost of speed from this ability. Omen will appear green while this ability is selected. If any other ability is cast besides passive or R, then this ability will go on cool down.
-E: Stingers of Insanity; While active, Omen shoots stingers that will remain on champions hit by Omen's auto attacks for a brief period of time. When you activate this ability again, the stingers that are on hit champions will cause the champions to hallucinate for a brief period of time and take slow poison damage and causes fear that lasts based on how many stingers there are stuck into the champion. Omen deals a small amount of magic damage while the target has the magic resist down. Omen will appear blue while this ability is selected. If another ability is cast besides passive or R, then this ability will go on cool down.
-R: Blessing of the Herald of Chaos; Omen may attach himself to an allied champion. While attached, Omen is able to focus all of his efforts on his attacks. Thus, Omen is able to double his attack speed, double the attack speed cap, and can keep more needles, thorns, or stingers locked into a champion at a time. However, Omen must pay mana to stay attached to the champion, reduce the physical damage dealt by his auto attacks, and the effects of his recast abilities are also reduced. Additionally, Omen will take a portion of the damage that the attached ally takes while this ability is on him.
*Gameplay: Omen is an auto attack focused champion who has different on hit effects based on what ability he has selected. Now his abilities seem kind of overpowered however the reactivation effects that trigger are not as powerful or last as long as one might expect (for balance purposes). While a lot of his mechanics are a mix of Udyr and Kalista/Darius/Twitch's abilities, I still think that the way that this style is approached is still a unique combat style from them. It mixes Udyr's ability locks with Kalista/Darius/Twitch's passive on hit effects. However, Omen still has his way of fighting from a distance. Needles, thorns, or stingers that aren't used when Omen switches abilities, will immediately lose any potential effects that they may have been if not used. The whole purpose for this champion is to bring back the 5.0 attack speed breaker, bring back Omen, and still create a new ability for a champion.
*Lore: Omen is not of the Void, but rather he is the personification of Chaos. He originates from Ionia from the very beginning, although he was a spirit who cause much pain and sorrow to places none would expect. But it wasn't till just before a large battle fought between Noxians and Ionians that made Omen appear in the physical realm of Runeterra. From that point forward he has stayed in this form causing trouble wherever he can for the sick pleasure of seeing others suffer.
I know this isn't much, but I have been holding this idea for a while and I was curious to see what the community thought of this variant of Omen. If any concerns arise I can try to clarify any game mechanics that you may have.
