Mecha Aurelian Sol

Okay, so as an Aurelian Sol/Kindred main these are champs that I see A LOT. Ashen Lord is a great skin, but I think that there is a potential for a gold mine in this skin idea. This skin would be perfect for a legendary (1820) RP skins as I feel that it meets all of the requirements to a reasonable degree. Mecha Skins are some of the most popular skins and some champs are better suited for others, Aurelian fits the build.

Taken directly off of the riot games website regarding skin pricing the requirements for a legendary skin are as follows:

A legendary skin completely changes the look and feel of a champion. Features: new model, new texture, new splash image, new animations, new visuals, new voice over and sounds. Examples: Battlecast Prime Cho'Gath, Brolaf.

We will dissect each of these requirements in detail in order to demonstrate the concept of this skin. Unfortunately I am horrible at art, this compounded with the lack of resources need to make an attempt means that unfortunately there is no way for me to show you, so i will do my best to help you visualize this amazing skin.

1. New Model: Ao Shin could take on a new model very easily with this skin. It would be a mecha skin, which we have all seen on various champions. There should be room for a transform to be considered as it would benefit the skin (more on that later) The model would include a stacking plate system in order to allow Ao Shin more fluid movement so that he can gracefully fly through the air as he does currently. There would be a propulsion system not dissimilar to that of an f-35 where the afterburner can swivel in order to allow for him to stay aloft. Aurelian Sol's stars would be considered part of the model I believe so i will address them in this section. The stars would be converted into a military style drone along the lines of a reaper drone, these fit the skin because they are devoid of direct contact with humans, in this case Ao Shin would be the one controlling them.

2. New texture: Forgive me for being uneducated on this issue but I am not sure what the difference between this and a new model would be, as I feel that in practice they are similar. (Wiling to edit if someone is kind enough to explain the difference to me)

3. New Splash image: This is obvious as every current skin has this. Mecha Auerlian would be more coiled up similar to how a snake does it, with a single drone seen in the distance. The drone would be far enough back so that it is not immediately noticeable however when you do see it, it is evident beyond a reasonable doubt that it is in fact one of his 3 drones.

4. New Animations & New Visuals:These two play together so well that I will address both issues in one paragraph. As addressed earlier the Aurelian Model would have 4(?)ish of the swivel propulsion after burners on his model, As Aurelian builds up speed the afterburners swivel so that the flame(?) is pushing away, parallel to Aurelian's body. Aurelian, as speed builds up would emit a light trail of smoke (think of the trail you see when a plane flies over head) it is faint so that it is not visually distracting, it is used as a new accent that allows for this skin to feel more authentic. Aurelian's Drones will also get new visuals. They would benefit from an after burner as well, this would be small and just like his passive move speed, disable after burner could be seen if you are indeed looking for it. The lit afterburners would show visually that speed has increased, because speed has increased, they will do more damage as they crash into the target. a. Skills: Skills to receive a visual rework for skin: QWER (Passive same as W in this case) Q: The Q, being Aurelian's star would need a just as impressive looking effect. As of right now I do not have an idea for what the star could be, but I'm sure the community (and/or Riot can think of something). Sorry to disappoint here folks. W: The W is the Celestial Expansion ability and the visual rework has been discussed above. E: The E is Aurelians ability that allows him to take flight. The passive has been discussed above, but the active I think could have a cool affect. As hinted above, there should be a transform affect. Of course now that I have gotten around to posting this a champion has had a skin be released featuring a transform mechanic, go figure. Regardless, Aurlian would transform into an impressive looking Jet, this jet would need to look aggressive enough so that people believe that this Jet can withstand a fair amount of combat. Two schools of personal thought exist here: Make it look like a Jet Fighter so as to maintain this idea of being aggressive(flying across a solid chunk of land with a missile in order to inflict injury on other champions. F-22) or We could use this idea of being a more stealthy looking plane( think SR-71, it is elegant, graceful, and since it is a spy plane, it can provide information that would be valuable to the drones.) R: Aurelian's Ult i think has great potential. A rail gun is an apparatus that uses a giant pulse of electromagnetic energy in order to propel a large projectile fast and far. This is where inspiration for this Ult comes from. Aurelian channels for a bit emitting an intimidating sound that signals that its time to run, and releases a loud boom and fires out a visibly large projectile.

5: New Voice over and sound: This should come as no surprise but make aurelian's default voice sound more robotic and mechanical. The sounds for all abilities should be changes. Ult is a charging noise followed by a boom. E would make a noise of a jet activating its after burner, that whoosh sound that you might be thinking of. W when initially activated would have similar effects as W, however after the sound plays there is no sound besides the noise of them hitting an enemy. This noise would have to be not annoying, it must be relatively quiet so as to not annoy players.
