Eldred, the Mind Handler
Eldred, the Mind Handler
Story:
Eldred has no clear memories of her parents. As long as you remember, you live in the alleys trying to survive at the expense of what people throw away. He found some hope of survival by being recruited for a guilty child who lived precariously like him, sometimes stolen or stealing food, doing dirty work for coins, or prostituting himself. Eldred did not have to dishonor himself early on, as he gained sympathy and friendship from those around him. Gradually got change and food, performing simple jobs as a messenger, deliveryman or janitor. It was customary to share their earnings with other guild children. It felt good to share, as I welcome it. And the years passed. Eldred is increasingly gaining the trust and respect of local merchants, residents, street children and homeless people. Part of their earnings was intended to maintain their partners, but it never seemed to be enough. Then, the gain of his fellows grew. The people Eldred works for with firm recognition and report thefts and thefts, all of whom had as their prime suspect or service boy. He found that his comrades were committing these crimes, and even guilty being retired by a wrong person cannot deduce them. For everyone's sake, he needs to swallow that guilt. But one day they came to charge you. A large man followed by a cornered Eldred dog in a case and demands payment for everything or who has lost his contractor. Obviously or boy there was no way to pay, so the man demanded the payment of blood. That man would kill him, take a look at the dog, and spread the word through the city alleyways, so that example services show those trying to steal from local merchants. A wave of stress and nervousness corresponds to Eldred's body and the dog or attack. A bite on his right arm, raised at the last moment to protect, and the boy knew there was no escape.
- Stay away from me! Somebody help me! - he screamed. And someone, or something, heard your supposed. The dog, about to attack the boy, and being stoked by the man, raised its ears, turned and fiercely attacked its owner. Despite his size and age, the man screamed and cried like a little child as the dog tore at him with his teeth and nails. The animal's strength was enormous, more than its size could produce. Then Eldred ran. The scene had been too strong for him. I didn't know where to go, but I had to get out of here, as soon the rumors of what had happened in that alley would run. Eldred grew older, always leading a beggar's life or doing simple chores in exchange for alms and food, but this time alone. He could no longer trust other people, no matter how kind and kind they seemed to him. This distrust certainly closed some doors for her, but it was still enough to maintain her survival. That experience in the alley also left him with a doubt all this time, which he soon had the opportunity to remedy. He went on to offer services to a pet trader who kept dogs, birds, rabbits and other caged animals in order to sell them as food or "whatever-you-would-prefer," as the man said. Eldred used the moments the merchant was away to try to talk to the animals. From the alley was what he thought he could do. And it didn't take long to reach a conclusion. With some insistence he realized that he could make the animals obey his orders. The small ones were more easily coerced than the larger ones. The biggest difficulty was with the dogs, who seemed not to "hear" him right. Still, he had to be careful not to find out. Eldred's self-taught training was arduous. He often didn't know how to advance his skill improvement and it took too long to realize that he was wrong about being able to talk to animals. Better than that, he could come up with ideas to coerce and control their minds. In his stressful moments this ability seemed stronger and more crafty. The orders could be given without his saying a word. Anger and hatred seemed to be their main fuel. And he wanted more. That power was not enough. One night Eldred was determined to leave town to experience his mind control beyond what he could already do. He found a group of pickpockets while leaving town. It was the perfect opportunity. So he tried. Once. Twice. 3 times. He could not reach the minds of the targets. For a moment she was again that child of years ago who thought she could talk to animals, and that's all. The pickpockets were not pious and beat Eldred, who tried to protect himself in vain. And again a wave of stress and hatred rushed through her veins. His opponents felt discomfort, headaches, and nausea. A moment later they were all unconscious. Eldred's sweet revenge then happened. He kicked and beat the unconscious men, looted them all and finally left the city, with sacks full of coins, some new boots and salty food. His journey was just beginning, and he grew up. Wherever he went he made enough money to live with a certain luxury, even though he was a wanderer. He often manipulated people's minds to give him money or something to eat. Its victims were people with a weak head, but it was not always successful. Fortunately his crimes were silent and imperceptible. Occasionally mind control suddenly broke and his victim drifted away in confusion. Even so, it was a good practice. Gradually he was able to hone his gift. If I could control a lot of people at once I could build an army, he thought. The limitations of his control have always been his biggest frustration, but he didn't know how to expand his capabilities. He certainly needed a tutor, a master, who could help him develop his full potential. Stories about war, conflict, and epic battles have always been a favorite and elicited fascination in Eldred. Some of them told of a noxian noble general who commanded an army against Ionia. He supposed such people could teach him how to control and expand his skills. They could even recruit him to help lead an army, who knows? In search of a master and trying to improve, Eldred spent his life working in the shadows, manipulating the minds of nobles and commoners, soldiers and mercenaries, to get what he wanted. He became eccentric, ambitious and shrewd. He plotted murders, incited political discussions, planted hatred in the human minds he passed to quench his thirst for discord. He worked as a diplomat and became a mercenary wizard.
