NEW RIFT HERALD IDEA!!! THE EPIC TRANSFERABLE BUFF
Dear Riot,
Please make the following change(s) to the rift herald buff for an epic king of the hill style mini game!
- Upon death, the champion 'owning' the rift herald buff will RE-DROP the buff upon death.
- Upon buff appearing under a dead champion, The buff becomes a pickup itemin X amount of time after death of that champion.
3?) Maybe modify buff to be more about stacking up over time... similar to ROA for the person who keeps it the longest time. 4?) Possible change to how the buff operates... maybe remove the necessity for it to stack when alone... or not. Either option would be a fun scenario... making you LOSE a lot of power if you're with the team sort of helps balance the buff out... but you lose the king of the hill mechanism which I think brings a lot of flavor to the battle over buffs (baron/dragon/red/blue buffs are all kill this beast in a stationary location... this buff could be anywhere and on anyone once its passed a few times... Even on an ADC!) and the minigame could be at any time! Imagine a herald buff swap/death/transfer while trying to take baron! 5?) Make the buff last all game.. this could result in the buff transferring 10+ times in a single game!
These changes will result in awesome king of the hill type battles where people low on health risk themselves to pick up the buff, and/or hunting scenarios where an entire team tries to "hunt" the person with the buff just for its unique properties.
This would also solve the issue of it being so darn hard to make it not so over powered so that once a top laner gets it, the other top laner has no choice but to concede the lane - It's like a free 15 minute snowball period if a top laner gets this buff right now... Riot has admitted to this problem with this buff... and tried to take steps to change it already to help alleviate this situation... I just feel like this item makes the buff even more epic and the games always different!
Let me know what you guys think and up-vote if you think this is a cool idea that Riot should consider! I think it makes the game MORE interesting and adds new dynamics to the game... that can change every time you play resulting in massively different game scenarios.
