Egabrag, the Gimpy Archer (Champion Concepts)
I feel like there's way too many champions in this game that are good at doing things. It's been too long since we've had a complete garbage pick to create some spice and add some variety to the game. I mean, who doesn't want to be able to play someone that's basically an auto-lose? And why do all of our bans have to be people we're scared to play against, rather than scared to play with? So with this concept, I wanted to break the mold by making a champion that's good at doing absolutely nothing.
Core principles
- Must have something that gives gamebreaking power. This is to justify the uselessness of the rest of the kit.
- Must have interesting mechanics and minigames that distract you from the real game.
- Must have some serious role-confusion which slams Egabrag safely into the "okay at everything, good at nothing" category.
- Must have stealth (because no one ever seems happy with how it's balanced).
- Must have at least 3 passives.
- Must be manaless (to give another excuse for the stymieing lack of power).
- Must have extremely impressive-sounding move names so that people think the moves are powerful until they read the descriptions and numbers.
Stats: Health 510 – 1615 Attack damage 50 – 100 Health Regen 4.5 – 34.3 Attack Speed 0.625 (+ 5.5 – 107.5%) Manaless ARMOR 32 – 74.5 Magic Resist 30 – 38.5 Range 900 Movement Speed 325
Passive: Power Shot: Egabrag's spells and attacks deal 20% less damage for every 100 units the enemy is away when they hit, down to a minimum of -80% damage (in negative damages, the shots will heal the enemy rather than damaging them). Let it fly: Egabrag is to lazy to land critical hits, until he reaches 100% crit chance, after which he will crit once, for 201% damage (251% with Infinity edge). Nature power: Whenever Egabrag is in play, flowers spawn in random locations. Egabrag's movespeed will decay by 20 ms per minute, but whenever he collects a flower, he will gain a permanent 21 movespeed (movespeed bonus caps at 111 movespeed). If Egabrag's movespeed goes into negative numbers, he will move in the opposite direction from any movement commands the player issues. Sublime grace: Egabrag is too cool for any active or passive item effects on his purchases. Instead, he gains 1 AD for each active/passive item effect he would've otherwise had.
Q: Devastating Volley (600 range) (10s Cooldown) Egabrag throws out a volley of arrows in a circle from himself, damaging all enemies struck. The arrows lodge into enemies, and if Egabrag attacks them, the arrow will dislodge, dealing the same damage again. This attack can critically strike. Deals 100/100/100/100/101
W: Hunter's Dance (2s Cooldown). Passive: Egabrag permanently gains 5 max hp per second. Active: Egabrag dashes 800 units in a target direction. There is a 20% chance that he will slip and fall in the middle, damaging himself for 20 and stunning himself for 2 seconds while he gets back up. If used in water, the fall chance is increased to 60%.
If Egabrag passes through an ally, they are shielded for 5% of their maximum health, and hasted for 5% of their maximum health for 4 seconds. If Egabrag trips onto an ally, they are rendered invulnerable for 3 seconds.
E: Stalking Prey (Costs 1 Awesome Ore) (15s Cooldown) Passive: While Egabrag is in play, sources of Awesome ore appear in various places in the walls of the map. Egabrag can purchase unique items called pickaxes (bronze, silver or gold, at 1,000, 2,000 or 3,000 gold, respectively) which allow him to mine the Awesome ore by Channeling. The Channel time varies depending on the pickaxe used: Bronze: 30s Silver: 29s Silver: 28s
Active: Egabrag renders himself entirely invisible for 2 minutes, or until he trips. If he damages an enemy, the invisibility fades, until Egabrag finds a flower, at which point it is restored.
Ultimate: Power Rush: (900s cooldown) Egabrag channels for 2 seconds, after which he grants a shield to all nearby allies, for 10/20/30% of their maximum health. This shield lasts until Egabrag trips, but grants Egabrag a 50% chance of tripping every time he issues a movement command.
So... what do you guys think?
