First time doing a champion concept, please bare with me and please leave your opinions/ criticism in the comments. Thanks!

Kadona (pronounced Ka-do-nay) is a female Ionian champion with dual Wakizashi swords held in a Zatoichi grip.

Lore Kadona was an unusual child. She was much feistier than all the other children in the small village in the hills of Ionia she called home. She loved to play sneaky games with them, hiding behind rocks or waterfalls. Her parents were humble sword-smiths and were loving to Kadona.

One day, when playing with the other children in a field, she was accidentally knocked down. She became angry and hit the ground. Flames swept across the field, instantly scorching the crops on the ground and burning the childrens' feet. At that moment they all new she was different. Tales of the incident swept across the land. Her parents kept her away from the other children for years to shield her from the looks and ridicule she received. She spent her days milling around her family's shop and minding her own business. She tried to get her hands to ignite again, but was only able to produce small sparks. She played with the swords from time to time and began to teach herself how to fight.

On the day of the Cherry Blossom festival, she decide to venture into the village to celebrate. In the middle of the festivities, a sudden explosion rocked the town square. The Noxian army had invaded the village! Kadona ran as fast as she could back to her parents shop, but found it had been destroyed. Her parents, her life, her friends...all gone. And soon she felt that all too familiar rage start to build inside her. She saw the pair of jade swords that her grandfather had used in the great rune wars, their case broken and the dual Wakizashi laying on the ground. She picked them up and they surged with her burning power. With her new weapons she turned her rage at the Noxian forces, cutting through their armor with ease. She was soon surrounded and accepted this as the end. Suddenly, a warrior in red and gold robes appeared by her side. His sword, perfectly crafted, surged with the same energy as Kadona's. They fought off the Noxian forces, saving most of the village. But the damage done to her was forever. He told her his name was Waizu and he was an elder of an ancient order who's responsibility was to keep watch over the Ionian mountain villages. He asked her to come with him and join the order, saying that she was the first person to have the powers in generations.

Kadona ventured through the mountains with Waizu, glad to have someone to be with. When she reached the massive palace, she was met by the other elders. They were not as friendly as Waizu, but she was happy to have a place where she could feel at home. She learned that she was now part of The Order of the Dragon, an ancient order that protects villages and wanderers in the mountains of Ionia. They all had the same powers Kadona had, and she was happy to be around people just like her. She trained for years with the order, becoming one of the most skilled warriors to be part of the order. She was a hero to the villages she watched over and felt that this was her purpose in life.

One day, the head elder called a meeting. They thought that the order had grown soft and needed more power. He suggested that they tap into an ancient, dark Ionian magic that would amplify their powers. Waizu and Kadona spoke up against him, saying that they could be corrupted and the power could cloud their minds and they would become too powerful. The other elders wanted power, and told Waizu and Kadona that they were expelled from the order if they didn't go through with ritual. The two knew what had to be done, and drew their swords. A bloody but swift battle began. Although outnumbered, Waizu and Kadona were the most skilled in the order, and quickly eliminated most of the elders.

Suddenly, Waizu was stabbed in the back by the head elder. As Kadona withdrew her swords from the last elder, she saw Waizu fall and the lead elder escape from the temple. She ran to Waizu's side as he lay dying on the stone floor of the main hall. With his dying breath, Waizu told Kadona that the last elder must be stopped before he can harness the magic and corrupt the land. Kadona stayed there for hours, sobbing over her dead master. She finally buried the other elders and held a ceremony for Waizu, properly releasing his spirit into the fire that had been inside them both.

Kadona walked to the edge of the temple, surveying the region she must now protect by herself. She knew that the elder would obtain the dark powers, and that he would wreak havoc on the region. She sheathed her jade swords, took one last look at the temple she called home, and set out on her journey. For her village, for her family, and for Waizu.

Kadona is an energy based assassin that utilizes quick strikes and agility to assassinate one or more champions. She also has good aoe damage so that she can be used as a jungler as well.

Passive- Dual Blades Kadona's auto attacks deal 75% of her attack damage, but immediately after auto attacking she strikes another target in the area dealing 50% of her attack damage (prioritizing champions). If the target is a champion and there are no allies nearby, both auto attacks strike the target.

Q- Searing Stab Cost: 30 energy Cooldown: 16/12/11/9/6 seconds Kadon stabs her target, dealing 75% of her attack damage and leaving her sword in them and dealing magic damage over time. If she auto attacks the target again in the next 1.5/2/2.5/3.5/4 seconds, she pulls the sword out, dealing 125% of her attack damage and halving the cooldown. During this time her passive is inactive.

W- Zatoichi stance Cost: 50 Energy Cooldown: 25/20/17/15/12 seconds Kadona chooses an enemy unit and shield herself for 10/20/30/40/50% of the damage dealt to her by that unit for the next 1.5 seconds. After the shield is depleted or after 1.5 seconds, she deals the damage blocked by the shield and 40+(20%) of her current ad in a circle around her and leaving a scorch mark on the ground around her, dealing magic damage to enemies standing in the circle.

E- Dragon Strike 30 energy Cooldown: 18/15/13/10/6 Kadona dashes to a target enemy champion, plunging one of her swords into the target and dealing 80+(30%) of her attack damage to them. This is considered an auto attack and applies on hit affects. She then vaults off of her sword and over her target, landing behind them. She then pulls the blade out, dealing 85% of her ad to the target.

R-Searing Focus Cost: 50 energy Cooldown: 120/90/60 seconds Kadona marks a random enemy champion in the area for 2.5 seconds. Attacking them deals 0% damage but gives them a stack of Searing Focus resetting the duration and marking a new enemy champion if possible. After 3 seconds, Kadona can reactivate the ability to deal (100% of the damage dealt to the target(s) plus 80/115/120/150% of the damage dealt to each specific target) depending on how many marks were hit (maximum 4 hits per mark). During the duration, Dragon Strike costs 15 energy, has a one second cooldown but only deals (80+15%) of her current ad.

I hope you guys liked what I had to offer and please feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments! Thanks!

I found the underlying concept (autoattack-as-burst champion) quite compelling.

I also have some commentaries:

  • There is no indication of the role you intend Kadona to play. Is she an assassin, a fighter, a melee carry, a juggernaut?
  • Kadona uses Energy, yet she is based around making basic attacks, so you are missing on one of the main mechanic aspects of giving a champion Energy(playing with their skills around what is essentially a shared cooldown).
  • You gave no indication of how much Energy each skill costs. This generally the right call on concepts made for Mana users, but on Energy users the resource pool size and regeneration rate are known quantities, so writing the cost serves to paint a clearer perspective for your champion.
  • Kadona lacks an Energy-refunding mechanic, a key component of any Energy-based champion.
  • The basic abilities are very generic and straightforward, with very few ways to play skillfully with or against them.
  • I kinda missed the goal of the ultimate. It seems to be most effective as a ganking aid, or maybe intended to be used to reinforce an ally with strong initiation, but is executed entirely as a stat-boosting buff, a type of effect that historically has had satisfaction and readability problems.
