Lore :

After the creation of the world, Morningstar the strongest of his siblings, gave humanity magic and curses. He was given the title 'God of the unnatural', but not long after one of her sisters was murdered, by his eldest brother. The whole blame was thrown over Morningstar and so all the divines combined their power to imprison him, on an island near Runeterra.

Overtime Morningstar learned to feed on the divine energy which had him sealed, as his power grew so his appearance started to change. From a beautiful lad with long jet black hair, he started to turn into a melted flesh and bones. Only thing hiding his deforming body was his armor and helmet. After a long period of time, his sister the Goddess of life, visited him so she can beg for forgiveness from her brother. Morningstar saw the opportunity and secretly made a spell, to destroy his siblings in one go.

After the horrific death of all the divines, Morningstar broke his chains gaining all their divine energy for himself, turning him into the ultimate God. His appearance and lack of sympathy to life, gave him a new title... The God of Death. As he gotten himself free, the creatures which he was secretly creating arose. Beasts, demons, undead and even the first born dragon.

Morningstar swore that he will never destroy a world, but he would take the souls of the dead from every one of them. He wanted only one world for himself to rule. Runeterra was his goal for a kingdom.

Class : Off-tank

Friends None

Rivals Everyone

Abilities:

Passive :

Touch of the Undead:

Every minion which Morningstar slays, raises as a skeleton minion with half the health pool and double the attack damage. If a champion is slain, a shadow raises for 20 seconds, duplicating the champion's combat stats. (up to 3 shadows at a time). Upon death Morningstar summons five undead minions attacking his killer.

Q

Divine sword.

Morningstar dashes in the given direction with his sword, giving massive damage to any enemy on his way (true damage, give me numbers, it's AD)

W

Cloak of Death

Morningstar turns into a shadow, immune to damage (but no CC) for 5 seconds. His movement is increased by 30%, as soon as the cloak ends a dark energy hits near by enemies dealing minor damage (physical, AD based)

E

Death

Marks his target (global), the target gets reduced damage and defenses near Morningstar (give range and % here/AP based)

Passive effect: Morningstar hits only true damage to the marked enemy. (mark can be switched only twice per battle, so better go AFK when you're marked.)

R

Legion of Death

Morningstar sends his army of undead and demons in a specific direction hitting all foes in their path dealing massive damage. If it hits a marked foe, the first born dragon appears dealing the damage second time (magic/AP based). As the army passes a bone field is left behind them for 5 seconds slowing any enemy who walks over it, while Morningstar gains a large movement speed buff.

Base Stats

Idk. But mostly tanky. ^^

This is clearly a badly made joke thread. [zombie-brand-clap]

that you literally say to "go afk" when marked speaks miles for the profound lack of counter play in the E, how unfun it would be to face that, and how much of a liability it makes someone. The amount of true damage in this kit also forces only one way to build - HP or die - if you're a tank. i don't know why true damage is needed on everything in this kit that can hurt someone, as AD scaling is enough on its own. do you just hate tanks or something? there's no precedent for beings, god-like or not, to be exempt from the usual "I deal AD damage" or "I deal AP damage" split. aurelion sol is a celestial dragon that can make stars and... does AP damage. syndra's power, by lore, increases so exponentially that her fortress is floating the sky as a latent, passive effect... and does AP damage. xerath literally absorbed a ton of divine power and potential, recklessly, and is basically magic personified. he does AP damage.

so, like i said, do you just hate tanks or something

the passive is reminiscent of Xul's from Heroes of the Storm, by which I mean a staggeringly more powerful version that's closest parallel is mordekaiser's ultimate, which binds a hero to his service if they die, and Yorick Mori, whom you will recall can summon ghouls.

i'd suggest thinking for a second on the prospect of being against a champion rather than just "it'd be so cool to play as him". i don't know about you, but i don't find overpowerful (cough Ekko Yasuo Zed ) champions very enjoyable either but maybe framing it that way would help with future creative endeavors

I like the idea; not sure why people just downvoted w/o giving proper thoughts. There are more downvotes than people who responded lol.

On the passive: The first thing that I see is an identity issue; their passive seems like it would lead to a possible identity conflict with Yorick, as Yorick's the guy who kills minions to summon the undead. Secondly, while we're mentioning him, Yorick's ghouls take time to set up, whereas yours instantly come about as soon as you kill a unit. It's not the worst thing in the world because of your lack of waveclear, but it's definitely something to keep in mind. On the other hand, however, it makes sense for a God of the unnatural/supernatural to do something like this. I'd scrap it for something else; the issue with Malzahar's old passive minions show here, in that it just kind of happens without much active thought, and again, Yorick's identity is summoning the undead. If I were you, I'd consider a system where instead the minions you've slain drop souls, which dash in the direction of your Q and deal damage to things they pass through. This would lead to a more active version of the usage of the undead, while keeping the identity from conflicting with Yorick. Of course, I literally just threw this idea together as an example in about five minutes, so I'd keep in mind this was an example.

On the Q: I'm not sure if you'd want this to be too much damage. The champion seems like somebody who'd be rather auto attack based. I don't think "massive damage" would be too fitting, looking as to how an auto-based champion doesn't really have that much damage from your abilities, but, like Master Yi, it should still do a moderately above average chunk. Not really a flaw, just something to keep in mind. There's not much point in this ability doing true damage if your E makes it do true damage anyways. All in all, the Q is fine for the most part. My only gripe here is that a dash can be hard to dodge, so I'd make it more about the mobility than the damage.

On the W: 5 seconds is quite a long time, and again, we have the identity conflict. Kayle's ultimate comes to mind immediately, since this is just a buffed up version but on a basic ability. There's not much counterplay here, since he simply walks at you and you can't do much; crowd control isn't a completely optimal option, either, due to it lasting so long. There's two ways I would balance this: reduce the duration to make it more about reaction to negate a key ability (Veigar ulti, etc.), as well as buff up the speed, OR you could take the other route and keep the duration, but make it damage reduction instead.

On the E: I like the idea of actively marking an enemy, but my issue with these kind of marks has always been counterplay. This is just a super-strong and actively-initiated version of Garen's Villain: you deal true damage to the target. However, Garen's Villain passive is not nearly as strong as this: Garen does 1% of their health as bonus true damage, but this converts 100% of your damage to true damage. In many cases, even 20% can be large. This ability is just a permanent "fuck you" to armor; there's no real reason to mark anybody but the tank. Even on Vayne, who's known for shredding tanks with true damage, does at least 60% to 70% of her gross damage to a single target as physical damage. It's also rather redundant to have one of your only two damaging abilities already do true damage when this causes you to do true damage. Not to mention, when you get marked, the only answer is to back the fuck up or get destroyed, which inherently makes champions useless. Blade of the Ruined King also makes you deal 8% of their current health in bonus true damage every attack, which utterly destroys tanks. I get that Cho'Gath's ultimate is a big "fuck you," but I don't exactly think Cho'Gath's particularly balanced. Additionally, whereas that case is a huge burst of damage, it's gated by the cooldown, and doesn't reduce damage and defenses. With the way it is now, we're encouraging to go flat AD on this person than bruiser. There's no reason to build any kind of bulk when you can just W and crit. somebody for all their health while immune to damage. There's not much of a point to reducing somebody's defenses when you already do 100% true damage, either. It's not very active of an ability, either, which is the main part I'm worried about; it doesn't feel very good to mark somebody, since you don't really actively see the effects. I think that a stacking system where it causes your abilities and attacks to do a % of their damage as true damage, up to X%, would be better. Perhaps even grant stacking attack speed. Additionally, I think a flat amount would be better than a scaling. It gives you more incentive to max it.

On the R: I have no gripes with this ability. It's fitting and perfectly fine in my eyes.

On the lore: It's different, which is definitely good.

As a whole: Your E and W needs work, whereas your passive should be, in my opinion, completely re-conceptualized. The ultimate's really interesting, and there's not much to talk about on the Q, which is mainly fine. I really like the thematics of it, so I wish you the best of luck in getting the kit to the end.

For people who have issues understanding something. He's a character from Noxian Tale. Feel free to read it, only 97k words. And yes, it's League based.
