Hello, my name is Ilendyl and I created this discussion to show you a concept for a new game mode like “One for all”, “Ultra Rapid Fire” or “Nemesis draft”. This mode can be played on Summoner’s Rift or on Twisted Treeline. It is called ‘’Tag Team’’. Like normal games, the objective is to destroy the enemy nexus, but the difference is that you can now choose two champion and switch between them to make as much wombo combos as possible!

1-Champion select: When you arrive in champion selection, you have to go through the three usual steps of a draft pick: -Ban step -Pick step -Free step Ban step: Like in draft pick, the first summoner have to choose champions he doesn’t want to play against. But, in this mode, he must choose two champions every time he bans, for a total of six banned champions per team. -Pick step: Each summoner picks a champion turn by turn (same as draft). After everyone has their champion, there is another pick step where they can choose another champion. -Free step: Everyone has time to choose his runes and masteries. There is no trade in this mode.

2-Entering the map : Map caracteristics: +50% base health +25% armor and magic resist (I decided to put a buff on resists and health to prevent champions to get one shoted). Jungle monsters deal more damage and towers have a lot more health.

3- Why did we take 2 champions each?: In the champion selection, everyone chose two champions so they could switch between the 2 during the game. How? By pressing the T key on your keyboard, you will be able to switch to your second champion. For example, I can pick Malphite as my first choice and Yasuo as my second. I engage with Malphite's R, then T to change to Yasuo and R again. If by any chance my opponent flee, I can E as Yasuo then T to switch again and Q as Malphite to continue the chase.

4- Here are some questions I already got asked and the answers to them to maybe help you better understand the game mode: Q1 : What if I die? Did my other champion survive? A1 : No, if one of your champions die, the other automatically do so. However, if your first champion is low, you can switch to survive as your second champion. Q2 : What about builds? I don’t want to build a Stattik Shiv on Malphite. A2 : In Tag Team, when you gain gold, the two champions gain as much. For example, my Yasuo get a kill and back with 2000g, then my Malphite will have the same amount of gold. Just press T to see the build of your other champion. Do not forget to buy items for your two champions! Q3 : What about the runes and masteries? A3 : You can choose your rune and masteries pages for each of your champions in champ select. Q4 : Two champions means two times the sustain in lane? A4 : Yes, but two times the pokes, so it's balanced. Q5 : If one of my champions is Soraka, can I heal myself (my other champion)? A5 : No, because your other champion is not technically on the map and can’t be targeted. Q6 : I’m about to die because Teemo poisoned me! Can I T to live? A6 : Unfortunately no, since "switch" cannot be activated while taking DoTs. (The T key will be explained below). Q7 : If my champion is Garen, can I press T and wait the regen? A7 : No, only the champion on the map can regen his health, mana and/or energy. This is the same thing for resources like Yasuo’s shield and Shyvana’s rage. Q8 : What about cooldowns? A8 : Cooldowns are not affected if T is pressed. If the e of my champion that isn't on the map is on cooldown for still 10sec and I wait 5 more seconds before pressing T, it's cooldown will be at 5sec. Q9 : Does only the champion on the map get experience? A9: No, experience works like gold, both champions gain the same amount of it.

5- T key T = Switch! : No cost, 2.5 second cooldown. Switch! is an ability that cannot be cast while silenced, stunned etc. It also cannot be cast if you are affected by any DoT. Active : Switch instantly to your other champion.

6-Conclusion : I personally think that ‘’Tag Team’’ could be a nice, interesting and popular game mode in the game. What to you think about it? Did I forget to talk about something? Discuss! Special thanks to my friends xb98frozen and fredriclap.

Hey! Its Arakadia, you sent me this link through League so you probably know me. I really like this idea, although there would probably need some champions to be banned or certain tag teams banned for balance reasons. Certain champions such as brand and teemo would be very powerful on this map, or Swain, because you couldn't ever switch while fighting them. This is unique tho and interesting. Best o' luck!

My only concern with this is that champions with longer stuns and silences would be ridiculously op. You could do things like an Amumu ult, switch to Diana to burst the people you ulted, and switch back to walk away. Some people would be ridiculously op, while others would do horribly. The snowballing and killing potential with this is too high. I think that the cooldown for the switch should be a lot longer. I think a 2 minute cooldown is more reasonable. It still lets people switch a whole bunch during the match, but it also makes them commit to their champions at any given time. You won't be able to play as a squishy champion like fizz, nearly die after bursting people, and then switch to a supertank like nautilus to get out every fight.

I also think there should be a short casting time (0.1-0.25 seconds) for the t switch because of combos like malphite-yasuo. While everyone knows it'd be awesome to do, there is no counter and it'd be incredibly easy to do. If you add a short cast time, you can still allow those ridiculous combos, but it'll take more skill to do them. This will make the game more fair, and ,inconsequentially, give people a greater sense of accomplishment (because the cast time makes it a harder maneuver).
