Pure DoT Champion

We’ve seen all sorts of champs, from quick one shot assassins, to burst champs, to tanks, etc. But would there b an interest in a Damage Over Time champ that relies purely on DoT?

For now let’s use this concept as this champ is say a melee caster champ.

Passive: Enemy champs with 3 different DoT take 15%/20%/30% of damage as true damage.

Q: Fire Glob - Low-Medium skill shot Champion spits a fire ball at target location bursting into a small aoe circle that sets enemies on hit on fire. AD scaling.

W: Poison Claw - Embue The next auto this champ does has increased range and applies poison. AP scaling.

E: Static Chain - Medium line skill shot Champ throws an electric chain at an enemy champ slowing them, or if they have a DoT on them, the static stuns them and applies a static DoT. AP scaling, can pass through walls and minions.

R: Hexology Allies including this champ within range gain a DoT effect on all their abilities and attacks.

Does this sound interesting? Let me know what you guys think!

I like the idea and I always liked DoT champions. But the problem with them is that they are usually considered unreliable since they don't deal enough damage in before they get bursted down, unless the DoT damage is quite high which in most cases isn't.

I actually had a champion idea/concept that was a DoT, and it was a cool idea imo but at the end I never posted it because of some of the problems I listed above.

But overall good job with the idea on this.

that would be Udyr's old q but they had gave it the ability to beat its dot. Casseopia was another but since mages didnt like counter play it the rebalnced her to rely on her e rather than her dot.

Cassiopeia sort of fits the bill for this. You spam your DOTs (Q + W), then use E to "FINISH HIMMM", and use R in case they survive and try to escape, or, if they come after you. Cassiopeia hissss I have a champion concept though, that relies on her DOT quite a lot.
