Fan made Xin Zhao Rework (with some visual guides)

So long story short after talking about what Riot should do about Aatrox a friend liked my ideas and wanted me to give her my 2 cents on other champions that seem to be a position to change such as, Shaco, Xin Zhao, Warwick and Yorick. Still working on WW, Shaco and Yorick but I think I found a good place for Xin.

I came here because I thought it couldn't be a bad thing to post it here. There is a huge chance Riot won't see this post, let alone even try any of these ideas but it'd be nice to have something here to gawk at.

Overview

This reimagining of Xin Zhao is similar to Tryndamere and Illaoi where running away from them doesn't exactly help you. Tryn and Illaoi's E makes running away a punishment and that's a pretty core element of these changes. Standing to fight Xin is your best option while running away will doom you to death. I felt this was something to really tie into his gladiator origins and like in a gladiatorial arena, you're all trapped together, so you might as well kill someone to get it over with.

I hope you like these ideas and remember it's all in good fun. Don't hurt me Xin mains. :(

Stats-Xin's kit will give him alot of stat boosts so to keep things fair I'd stat pretty low base stats and moderate scaling. The only great stat should be his crazy melee range since he has a spear.

Passive-Way of the Arena

Upon an initial engagement (either by being attacked or attacking) a sparring circle will appear around him and whomever Xin is fighting.

When fighting in this arena Xin gains Unrelenting Combatant. The more damage he takes the more defense he gains. If he kills the challenged target[s] within the sparring circle, the arena will vanish but he will keeps the buff for a short duration. Way of the Arena will not restart it's cooldown until the duration is over.
If Xin retreats from the arena he gets a shame debuff. Lowering his MS and attack speed until Way of the Arena is back up.
But if the enemy retreats from the arena, Xin calls out the enemy team, pronouncing all challenged targets "COWARDS!" Xin and his allies will receive movement speed boosts while moving after cowards. Xin himself will get execution damage when he auto attacks low health cowards. During this period Way of the Arena also will not reactivate until all cowards have either been killed or escaped. If Xin kills a coward near another, they will become feared for a brief moment.
Several extra notes. The only challenged targets are the opponents that Xin attacks expect for the first target to attack xin, if an opponent isn't challenged Xin takes reduced damage from them while in Way of the Arena, AOE affects such as Ravs do issue the challenge, if a single cowards retreats, Way of the Arena will cash in in favor of Xin.

Q-Audacious Charge (I actually forgot this was the real name of his E) It has been moved to his since it is more of a core spell. Xin darts forward a short distance towards the nearest target (challenged over non) striking them with his spear. Any enemies near the affected target will receive the damage as well. This can only be cast when aimed at an enemy. While in the arena Audacious Charge's range is significantly increased and each cast automatically sends Xin into a challenged target (closet to the mouse if there are multiple.) While shame is on Xin audacious charge is on cooldown. While chasing cowards, the range is the same as if it were in the arena, it also does execution damage and slows targets.

W-Disarm Xin, with blinding speed, disarms all opponents within close proximity to him.

They become silenced and unable to auto attack for a brief moment. If Xin is shamed disarm will not be available until Way of the Arena is back up. If Xin wins in the arena it's cooldown is reduced and costs no mana.

E-The Haunting Crowd (this ability went through some drastic changes. One was a live audience, one was a phalanx like ability and another was just PTSD. A few of the many rubbed out here but most of the ideas for the ability seemed shoehorned in, even this one does a bit to me as well but atleast it's unique and helps the flow of this design)

Thought Xin is no longer in the arena he still feels it's affects. Passively The Haunting Crowd whispers war and conflict into Xin's ears, gathering his rage. Not fighting for too long and fighting will increase this meter. Once it is full The Haunting Crowd can be activated. In a furious attack Xin gains bonus attack speed and his attacks will always crit for a brief moment with a refractory period before rage begins to gain again. If the ability isn't cast and boils over, Xin will unleash his burning hatred upon himself, doing his total AD damage as a crit to himself.
If Xin is shamed The Haunting Crowds whispers become booming shouts of agression and he will attack himself regardless of how much rage has been built up. After this Xin's rage will be at 50%, gaining fast.

R-The Next Round Xin blows back all unchallenged targets and allies

while he and his challenged foes receive heals (himself more then the challenged foes) The Next Round instantly resets Way of the Area recreating it on location while turning off all buffs and debuffs given from the previous round. Each affect from the standard Way of the Arena are doubled in The Next Round.

Summary In the end this was to make Xin an all in no retreat champion that he already is but with more flair and dare. His E will encourage engagements, his Q can get him into these engagements, his W will ensure that he can actually survive so many fights while his ultimate allows space for errors.

Along with these he's also punished for not fighting while reward for winning even more so then a standard victory but as we all know, any chase can turn sour.

So will you be the unflinching giant or... http://ia.media-imdb.com/images/M/MV5BMTU1MzU0NzIzOV5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTcwMjM5NTkxNA@@._V1_SX640_SY720_.jpg
