Adrian, the Manic Prisoner Primary: Tank Secondary: Controller (Support)

_A master of escape with an extremely unhealthy obsession with violence and madness, Adrian is one of the most notorious convicts in all of Demacia and possibly the world. Roaming the battlefield aimlessly, Adrian swears to find anyone that can break the only binds he cannot break; his pair of magically-enhanced handcuffs that he wields as a weapon. Adrian acts as an anti-CC based Champion that can both support allies by taking and negating massive amounts of hard CC, as well as disrupting enemies to help give kills to the rest of the team. _

##Passive: Escape-Artist COOLDOWN: 30 / 29 / 28 / 27 / 26 / 25 / 24 / 23 / 22 / 21 / 20 / 19 / 19.5 / 19.5 / 19.5 / 18 / 18 / 18

Whenever Adrian, an enemy or an ally are hit with a form of hard CC, he gains a stack of Escape (this is also visible under his health bar in the same style as Jhin's bullets/Annie's stacks, but with five instead of four). With every stack, any forms of CC on Adrian will have a slightly decreased duration depending on the amount of stacks (in order from one to four stacks, as the fifth stack has a different effect: -.25 / -.50 / -.75 / -1 seconds to any CC) Once Adrian gains five stacks, the next CC that hits him will cause Adrian to enter a frenzy, gaining increased movement speed (55%) and complete immunity to CC for 4.5 seconds. Some of his abilities also gain different effects while the frenzy is active.

NOTE: There is a .50 second delay in between gaining stacks, so that a Morgana ult doesn't automatically give you 5 stacks. And in case you haven't noticed, those long streams of numbers are the duration/cooldown from levels 1-18. While this ability is on cooldown, you cannot gain anymore stacks.

##Q: Violent Wallop COOLDOWN: 18 / 17 / 16 / 15 / 14 COST: 85 / 80 / 75 / 70 / 70 MANA

Adrian's next basic attack is empowered and deals bonus magic damage (60 / 108 / 145 / 190 / 250 +50% Bonus AP), as well as stunning the target for a duration (1 second). Slight magic damage (20 +15% Bonus AP) and a slow is dealt in a small AOE around the target. When in a frenzy, Violent Wallop does not stun and has slightly decreased magic damage, but can be cast with an extremely lower cooldown and without a mana cost.

##W: Hard As Nails COOLDOWN: 18 COST: N/A

Passively, Adrian gains increased armor and magic resist based on the amount of stacks of Escape he currently has (15 / 30 / 45 / 60 / 75 armor and magic resist). >When activated, Adrian consumes all of his current stacks for a shield (60 / 80 / 130 / 160 / 220 +10% max health) that lasts for a small duration of 5 seconds. When this ability is activated, the cooldown for Escape-Artist is completely reset

NOTE: The scaling for the shield and the amount of armor and magic resist is based on the amount of stacks Adrian has, not his level, as they are static.

##E: Leap Jockey COOLDOWN: 15 / 14 / 13 / 12 / 11 COST: 75 Mana RANGE: 700 UNITS

Adrian leaps to a target location. If he lands on an enemy Champion, then he latches onto them, blinding the target completely but also suppressing Adrian. While latching onto an enemy Champion, Adrian scratches the target while dealing damage (10 per tick +2% AP and +3% AD) every 0.5 seconds for the duration that he is latched onto the enemy Champion (2 / 2.5 / 3 / 3.5 / 4). While latched onto an enemy Champion, Adrian can still be targeted but 30% of the damage dealt to Adrian will also carry onto the effected enemy. If hit with any hard CC, Adrian is forced to prematurely fall off the target. If Adrian is currently in a frenzy, then Leap Jockey has an increased range (850 units) and completely suppresses the target if he lands on an enemy Champion. However, casting Leap Jockey immediately ends the frenzy from Escape-Artist, even if you don't land on a Champion.

##R: Prison Break COOLDOWN: 140 / 110 / 80 COST: 100 MANA RANGE: 750 UNITS

Adrian can cast this on either himself or an ally, immediately screaming with a crazed roar, cleansing all forms of CC in an area around the targeted ally (450 units) and granting all allies in that area a small movement speed buff (45%). The targeted ally however gains a buff in attack speed (30 / 45 / 50%) and movement speed (50 / 55 / 60%) as well as a shield (90 / 165 / 225 +10% max health). If casted on Adrian, then he instead immediately enters a Frenzy, no matter how many stacks of Escape he has, adding the bonus shield and attack speed as well.

##APPEARANCE & PERSONALITY: Adrian is a very dark character compared to the rest of the Demacian roster, only somewhat sharing this with Lucian and Vayne. Wearing something that resembles a broken strait jacket with patches of leather with the most damage being on the arms, which have been completely ripped up. Along with that, he wears various chains and binds that are tightly tied around his body in a messy way (they however are broken around the arms as well, letting him freely use them), even with a ball-&-chain-esque contraption on his right ankle, without the ball since it had been broken off in one escape. A prominent feature of the collection of chains and broken binds on his body is an iron collar around his neck with some broken chains hanging from it. Body-wise, Adrian is a visibly and physically broken man, with various scars seen through the ripped parts of his clothing. His skin is extremely pale and his long, jet-black hair is unkempt as it drapes over him like a cloak of darkness. Adrian's face is extremely rugged, with a black beard along with an expression of constant anger with disturbingly darkened and open eyes, as his small pupils emphasize his madness. Despite being extremely malnourished, Adrian has a very muscular build, though his more bony features are seen by the visibility of his ribs and spine as he constantly hunches over as if his handcuffs are too heavy for him. Speaking of which, the weapon he uses are his magically-enhanced handcuffs that he's never been able to break out of, with strange carvings that constantly pulse and glow with orange-red energy.

Adrian's personality is meant to take the level of 'crazy' to a whole new level. Though Kled is easily just as crazy, his is more comedic and silly, while Jhin is not mentally healthy either but represents more of a form of OCD with his homicidal behavior. Adrian however is very violent, like Kled but more disturbing than comedic. Running around like a madman resembling an animal, Adrian talks with a hysterical and somewhat constant paranoid tone just as a madman would. He would even talk and argue with himself to the point where he eventually begins to physically harm himself. Adrian's mind is completely broken and he's in a constant state of madness, along with an obsession purely with breaking out of his handcuffs. The more terrifying aspect of this is that despite his crazy and violent nature, he's actually decently intelligent, as being stupid would never allow him to break out of the most secure prisons and negate some of the most powerful spells known to Runeterra.

##LORE: Adrian is one of the most experienced and talented escape artists in all of Valoran. Having been able to escape from the most secure prisons in Demacia and break free from magical binding spells with his sheer willpower, the Manic Prisoner has descended into absolute madness from the cruel forms of containment he's faced for a crime he never even committed. Adrian now roams the world seeking vengeance through gruesome and maddening violence, seeking a way to break free from the only binds he cannot break; the magical handcuffs he wields as a weapon.

Born to a poor family consisting of his mother and two older sisters, Adrian Lockwell was the only son of his deceased father. Living in a small town on the borderlands of Demacia called Liverton, Adrian's mother and sisters were weavers, but could never make enough money to truly sustain the family, leading to their destitute life style. Adrian however, was the youngest and most troublesome of his mother's children, usually playing tricks on others in the town as a young boy. Soon, tricks turned to crimes, as an older yet still young Adrian would often steal in order to pay for food. Along with petty thievery, the boy would still revel in small vandalism and pranks on the richer and higher class Demacians that would come through the town. However, like most Demacians, Adrian held a code of honor; never to commit murder or mistreat the less fortunate such as himself. Adrian's father was a soldier, and his death came when he left when Adrian was a baby to fight a battle against a gruesome Noxian army, but never returned. Because of this, Adrian promised to live up to a code in order to honor his father's name.

Adrian continued his mischievous acts to his teen years, having to continue with even even more thievery as his mother slowly passed away from a sickness. Now with only his older sisters to support, Adrian began seeing more and more of the dark, criminal underbelly of the holy and honorable Demacian state that the rest of the world knows. Though he had a sour dislike for most Demacian upperclass, he did have one strange experience that shifted his views; when a particularly important family passed through the town.

One day, Adrian was awoken by the sound of a festival and a collection of cheers outside his window. When he went out to investigate, he found out that the reason for everyone's excitement was because the Lightshields were passing through the town, the famous Demacian royal family. Coming through like a parade, Jarvan III and his young son Jarvan IV passed through the streets, with a collection of royal guards marching with a stern duty to protect. Adrian, still young and foolish at this time, attempted to pickpocket King Jarvan III, seeing this as an opportunity to take some real coin. This however, backfired, as the guards began chasing the boy through the streets, eventually stopping him at an alleyway. However, just when they were about to put the 'filthy street rat; under arrest, the young prince Jarvan IV, still a teenager at this time, stopped them. Upon realizing that the boy simply needed some money to pay for food, Jarvan IV donated some of his own coin to the boy, ordering the guards to let the boy go. Adrian never forgot that, and felt eternally grateful for one of the only people to ever donate willingly to him.

As time went on, Adrian's older sisters married themselves into slightly higher lifestyles, and Adrian was left alone to live in the streets as a beggar in the day, but secretly a vigilante and thief by the night. Though Adrian still had to interact with this criminal shadow under Demacia's light, he would still live up to his code of honor and fight for the poor and steal from the rich, eventually becoming a famous thief-for-hire among the shadowy underworld. Though Adrian would rarely ever trust the deadly criminals he would be paid to work alongside with, he would still do the job while avoiding the bad influences they would try to rub off on him. This however, would soon lead to his imminent doom.

On one fateful night, Adrian was offered a large sum of money to do a nearly impossible job for a mysterious mob-boss who wouldn't even appear in person, simply sending strange messages and couriers. The job; to break into the palace of the Lightshields. Though Adrian still remembers his experience with Jarvan IV, the amount he would get paid was enough to allow Adrian to live a normal life and stop his criminal lifestyle. Reluctantly agreeing, Adrian was brought alongside a group of other famous criminals, some of which didn't even come from Demacia. One prominent one, a brutish thug named Goren "Gorr," had a personal conflict with Adrian due to his infamous murderspree on Demacian citizens. Though it was one of the toughest break-ins Adrian ever committed, he managed to finally get into the Lightshield's palace. Each criminal had their parts in the plan, looting certain rooms and keeping watch. Adrian's part however was to break into the Lightshield's personal treasury, as well as steal some of their most prized possessions, such as the crown of the wife of Jarvan III; the queen of Demacia. However, just when Adrian was about to run with the possessions and gold in his bag, he witnessed a horrific sight. In a hallway leading to their escape route laid a collection of dead bodies of servants and guards of the palace, brutally mutilated. Running through the horrifying sight, Adrian bumped into Gorr and a couple of other criminals he knew had a dislike for him. Gorr looked at Adrian with a wicked smile, and revealed the royal queen, held captive by Gorr. Panicking and confused, Adrian ordered Gorr to put her down. Gorr however, cursed at Adrian, saying that this job is bigger than he could imagine and revealed Adrian's true purpose in this job; a red herring to take the blame so that the rest of them can run off without any proof they were even there. With that, Gorr then killed the queen, leading to screams that alarmed the rest of the palace. The rest of Adrian's group made a run for it, as Gorr pushed Adrian off and blocked their escape route, practically giving him to the guards.

Adrian was put under arrest as the only one caught in the heist. Falsely accused of the assassination of the beloved queen of Demacia with evidence of her stolen crown, Adrian gained a large amount of infamy throughout all of Demacia as a horrible assassin that killed the most loved member of the royal Lightshield family. His punishment for this horrible crime was to be locked up for life within a large prison in Demacia, called The Black-Steel Fortress. For months he rotted in a cell, until he finally devised a perfect plan to escape. Once he broke out of his cell, he was caught once again and put into a different prison. The cycle continued for years, as each prison would be more and more secure than the last, and each escape would just educate Adrian on how escape future containment. The Demacian government had tried everything, when they attempted to lock Adrian up underground in a small box in the Dungeon of Tyratus, he somehow managed to disguise himself as one of the guards, kill his way out and dig his own entrance back to the surface. When they attempted to use a magic spell to bind him to a room, he completely negated and broke through the magical bindings and forcefield with his sheer willpower and anger. Even when they attempted to execute him, he would simply slip out and find a way to kill everyone in the room, giving him the infamous title of "Slayer of Executioners." The closest they had ever gotten to containment on Adrian are a pair of magically enhanced hand-cuffs that he has never been able to break out of. However, Demacia was merely making it's own monster, as Adrian soon used his magic hand-cuffs to his advantage, somewhat harnessing it's power to more easily break out of magical spells.

Soon, they even attempted to shut Adrian's mind off, locking him up and keeping his head in an iron mask forged with dark magics. Though it was meant to shut off his mind to keep him from figuring out a way to break out of any other prison, it instead shattered his mind like glass, causing him to enter a crazed frenzy and escape containment, breaking the hardest steel walls like they were wood, and smashing the iron mask with a mere scream of pure rage and agony. After this, Adrian was declared insane, and sent to be chained up in a large cell built underneath an infamous asylum called Tumult. The cell was bigger than any prison, with only one exit and some of the most elite guards on constant duty, they however underestimated the insane and assumed weakened man. Adrian soon escaped, and now roams Demacia leaving a violent trail of chaos behind him as he searches for a way to unlock the magical handcuffs that remind him of the only thing he couldn't break out of.

Hey there nerd, stopping by from the CCOS competition for a review. (Please put whether the abilities scale with bonus or total AP)

Passive Is a bit overpowered (Not even Olafs ult grants CC immunity for so long at the max level). I feel that if you remove the immunity part of the spell, it could be balanced. Other than that, I think its fine.

Q Is a pretty simple spell, something to CC the enemy and deal a little damage, I have no gripes with this one.

W He gains WAYYY too much armor and magic resist, like holy hell, he would be unkillable. Please reduce it down to a more manageable number. (15/30/45/60/75)(+10% bonus armor) would be more than enough, especially with the shield. Also, the passive reset kinda removes most of the cost for using this spell.

E Again, its just too much. I would be fine if he didn't blind the target, and took reduced damage (5/10/15/20/25%) but didn't transfer any damage. It also lasts for a century and a half at the moment, maybe reducing it down to (2/2.5/3/3.5/4) seconds and adding a 20% slow to latched on targets would be better.

R This is actually not only my favorite ability in the kit, but also the most balanced one in the kit as well. I don't really have anything to say, other than maybe a slight cooldown decrease (140/110/80).

Lore/Art If the art is done yourself, it is pretty good quality. Lore-wise, I think you did a fantastic job not only expanding on the character, but also the city, while adding a new location that seems fairly real to the universe.

An interesting concept, I'll say that much, although I remember the idea of a Demacian prisoner with a similar name being shared here before.

Either way, your kit is completely different, so I'll judge based off the merits of that.

The passive feels like the direction I want Riot to move Irelia, although perhaps is still stronger than it ought to be. I don't inherently hate CC immunity, but 4.5 seconds is a decent duration for someone who can single-target suppress with the only way to stop it being CC. Having a built-in cooldown on his Frenzy helps a lot, but perhaps consider some sort of visual indicator so people can keep track of when Adrian is vulnerable. Also, you may want to have his stacks fall off over time, if he hasn't been hit. Something like 30-40 seconds, to encourage him to get into the mix and eat those CCs for his team-mates, instead of blocking one, running away, healing up to full, then repeating.

I like the Q, as well as the idea of the Frenzied Q being a massive source of damage for him. My only real question is to how low the cooldown would be while Frenzied, and how much damage it would deal. Those are important hallmarks of a spammable ability in order to make sure it doesn't become too busted.

For his W, I'm not so sure how to feel about it. Firstly, doesn't reaching five stacks consume the stacks? Or does he just enter the Frenzied state with five stacks on?

Also, I feel like having the amount of shield he gets stack based on stacks versus the level of the ability potentially makes it too good. There should be a reason he wants to level up this skill beyond just it being the last thing in his kit. You have room for strategic diversity here that you're basically shunning to the side to say "this is his one point wonder." While I don't hate OPWs, I feel like they should at least offer something if someone invests more points into them. This literally makes no difference to his character from levels 3 to 18.

For his E, I don't get the very random mana cost. Is this a meme I'm missing? Either way, you may want to up the cooldown just slightly, as having something that can force people to have to deal with you on that low of a CD could potentially be problematic. I would suggest using the scaling of Alistar's Pulverize, or at least something similar.

His R is mostly fine. I like having a cleanse built into the kit. It gives him something no one else really has and works as a way to help deal with wombo. My issue is that it has nearly the same radius as an Amumu ult. I don't mind a cleanse, but having it be AoE pretty much negates a lot of champs by design. I would either drop the radius to a much more reasonable area (200-300) or make it single target, so as not to simply render the likes of a Malphite or Amumu or Sejuani next to useless in any given match.

The dates for the CCOS have been extended, so you now have much more time to do whatever it is you need to do - edit your concept, enter a new one, what have you.
