Featured Game mode Idea: Artillery Barrage
A featured game mode where all abilities would be enhanced based on doubling the range of all abilities. And a few other changes to abilities that do not have ranged components.
• Doubling the cast range Examples:
- Zyra Q, W, R would have double the cast range
- Caitlyn W (traps) would have double the cast range
• Doubling the length of abilities projected off the character Examples:
- Zyra E would travel twice the normal Distance
- Caitlyn's Q, E, R would travel twice the normal distance
• Doubling the radius of certain abilities casted around champion
- Zac W would be double the radius
- Dr.Mundo W would be double the radius
- Amumu R would be double the radius
• There are also abilities in the game which buff your champion when activated, so in terms of range there could be no buffs to enhance these abilities, but maybe doubling the duration of these abilities could be a good alternative. if anyone has better ideas for these abilities, let me know!
- Olaf W buff duration would be doubled
- Ivern R duration would be doubled (unlimited daisy)
- Wukong W duration doubled
• Then there are abilities that allow your character to dash when activated
- Vayne Q tumble would be double the travel distance
- Kindred Q hop would be double The travel distance
- Riven E
• For abilities that enhance the champions next basic attack, possibly adding a burst of movement speed to help close gaps with champions that are dependent on their long range skills
- All Udyr's abilities (very fast with bear stance)
- Xin Zhao Q and W
- Kassidin W
• For abilities that will displace the enemy, double the distance they are displaced from their position. (Only abilities that require champion to be in basic attack range) This would keep the game healthy looking, as seeing a singed fling an enemy from twice his auto attack range would look odd
- Singed E would fling enemy twice the distance
- Xin Q would knock up double the height
- Lee sin kick would kick enemy twice the distance
• For basic attacks, increasing the range on all champions basic attacks.
- Grant all ranged champions an additional 125 basic attack range, capping out at 775 (turret attack range).
- Grant all melee champions, possibly an additional 50-75 auto attack range. (Whatever would look proper and healthy, without making it look odd how far a melee champ can basic attack) need some help on what a good number for a melee champ could be
Granting extra Armour and Magic Resist to Melee champions would help them survive the early game a lot better as well
I'm pretty sure that covers everything but if I'm missing anything please let me know : )
And any other ideas are appreciated. If you think their could be better ideas for the changes I posted please post them in the comments! Let me know if you guys think this would be a fun featured game that Riot could maybe implement in the future.
I'm not sure how difficult it would be for their internal operations to create this as I know nothing about computer coding : P
