Champion Concept (1): Sha'Kor, Breaker of Worlds
Sha'Kor, Breaker of Worlds
Role: Jungler / Marksman
#Appearance:
Sha’Kor is a void creature that is vaguely humanoid from the waist up, with purple jagged exoskeletal armor on both her arms and her torso. Her lower body has four legs, each of which points up and then down like a spider’s and ends in a clawed foot, also covered with the same purple chitin. She has long, human-like reddish hair running down her back, as well as two normal eyes; but the bottom half of her face is a gaping mouth with countless rows of circular teeth.
Sha’Kor’s basic attacks consist of her leaning forward slightly and rotating the teeth in order to drain away essence from her target, causing her attacks to be ranged but not projectiles. Her attack range is 500.
Background
When the Void comes for a world, it does not do so immediately. First come the hungry scouts, harbingers of the coming invasion, sowing discord and terror alike in the helpless natives. Next come the stronger creatures, the champions of the Void, whose hunger is insatiable enough to drive them into a mostly alien realm.
However, the titans of the Void, the true winners of their harsh realm's struggle, who are almost as old as time and have been consuming wantonly for eons until they are the sort to devour entire empires, cannot simply cross over into an unprepared world. Their destination must be shattered first, its defenses crippled and its earth sown with the seeds of the Void’s corruption, before they can cross over.
The rampant death and destruction necessary to bring forth these godlike beings, coupled with the restraint and patience required to plants the many seeds of corruption, are a task only one creature can complete: Sha'Kor, the Breaker of Worlds.
Always there but biding her time, watching from the shadows for the perfect moment, Sha'Kor has seen countless empires fall before her. She shuns the combat and feasting most Void creatures live for, instead subsisting off of the very energy and existence of the unpolluted world itself, her only desire to see it fallen away and replaced with the dark chaos of the void.
She crushes villages and fortresses alike, laying indiscriminate waste when finally the time comes for her to do her awful work. None who see her live to tell the tale, so only scattered glimpses and reputation exist to describe her by. However, when she does reveal herself somewhere and start the destruction, one thing remains clear: that world has little time left to live.
#Abilities ##P Consumer of Order
Sha'Kor’s attacks mark units with Corrupt for two seconds, causing her further basic attacks to damage them regardless of who the primary target is. These attack refresh the duration of Corrupt and she can have an unlimited number of enemies marked with Corrupt, but they lose Corrupt if they leave a radius of 900 range from her.
Visual: Sha'Kor's basic attacks will draw away energy from her targets, meaning that a trail of drained essence will form from all Corrupt enemies towards her.
##Q Violent Expulsion
After expending 50 mana and placing this ability on a 13/11.5/10/8.5/7 second cooldown, Sha'Kor violently releases energy she had consumed from her mouth, dealing 50/65/80/95/110 + 60% AD physical damage to enemies within a 45 degree cone, radius 300 units. Enemies hit are knocked back 500 units, grounded for 3 seconds, and slowed by 20% decaying over three seconds. This effect cannot knock enemies through walls.
Visual: Sha'Kor violently swings her head forward as she spits out a wave of bones, rubble, and purple energy, which slam into enemies caught by this ability.
##W Destabilizer
After expending 60/65/70/75/80 mana and placing this ability on a 20/19/18/17/16 second cooldown, Sha'Kor targets a unit marked with Corrupt within 900 range of her, marking it as Unstable.
Unstable: Basic attacks against Unstable enemies apply the attacks' on-hit effects to all enemies (including turrets) within 250 units of the Unstable target. Enemies damaged in this way are marked with Corrupt and Unstable as well. An enemy will cease to be Unstable when they haven’t taken damage from Sha’Kor in the last 3 seconds. When an Unstable enemy dies, they explode, dealing damage to all enemies within 250 units equal to the total damage Sha’Kor dealt to them over the course of the Unstable effect, up to a maximum of 300/375/450/525/600 damage.
If used on a turret, the radius of the on-hit effects spreading and detonation is increased to 650.
Visual: The ground under the feet of Unstable enemies becomes spiderwebbed with cracks, through which purple light seeps through. When the enemies detonate upon death, the cracks burst open to blast the area with that same purple energy.
##E Chaos Bringer
When cast on the ground, this ability expends 40 mana and places a Voidbringer at the target location within 800 units and cannot be used in this way again for 60/45/30 seconds.
If cast targeting a Voidbringer, Sha'Kor expends 100 mana and channels for four seconds before teleporting to the target Voidbringer. If Sha'Kor or the Voidbringer take damage during the channel, it is canceled and the ability goes on cooldown. This ability cannot be used in this way again for another 180/160/140/120/100 seconds, decreased by 0.25 seconds each time Sha'Kor succesfully basic attacks.
Voidbringer: Acts as a ward with one health, goes invisible after five seconds, grants vision in a radius of 1100. While within that vision radius, Sha'Kor gains 20/30/40/50/60% movement speed, 15-45 health and mana regeneration, and 30% total attack damage, but only if she hasn't been in champion combat for at least seven seconds. Voidbringers can last up to 80/105/130/155/180 seconds after being placed, but Sha’Kor can only have up to 4/8/12 of them at a time, scaling at levels 1/6/11. At level 16, the cap is removed and she can have an infinite number of them out on the map.
Visual: Voidbringers appear as spikes of purple chitin typical of void creatures, but the ground around them in their vision radius glows slightly purple and has a few odd cracks running through it. When Sha'Kor teleports to a Voidbringer, she dives into a purple crack at her feet and re-emerges from the crack at the Voidbringer.
##R World Breaker
Passive: Sha'Kor’s basic attacks deal an additional 10/35/60 + 20% AP + 30% Bonus AD physical damage on-hit. For each enemy structure that has been destroyed this game, this on-hit damage is increased by 20. Lifesteal applies in full to this damage.
Active: Sha'Kor channels for 1.5 seconds to toggle into Destructor Mode. While in Destructor Mode, she roots herself in order to increase her attack range to 900 units and increase her total attack speed by 50/100/150%, allowing her to exceed the attack speed cap. In addition, she gains 20/40/60 armor and magic resistance while in Destructor Mode. Reactivating this ability will instantly take her out of Destructor Mode.
Visual: Destructor Mode consists of Sha'Kor burying her four legs into the ground and opening her mouth wide. Her circular rows of teeth spin faster in order to attack at a greater rate. The energy trails marking her basic attacks would become almost nonstop streams at high attack speeds.
#Playing As
Sha’Kor is a combination marksman/jungler that excels in vision control and massive group damage. Her abundance of wards, in combination with her E teleport and W waveclear, allow her to melt down turrets incredibly quickly and then hightail it out of there. Killing structures gives her permanent damage, incentivizing her to prioritize objectives over kills or farm.
However, in teamfights, should the enemy make the mistake of grouping up and not kill her, she can annihilate them as well. While rooted from her ultimate, she may be a sitting duck, but with lifesteal and free defensive stats, she can prove deceptively hard to kill, especially with her Q as a defensive option.
Builds would probably line up with one of three routes:
-
Marksman Critical Strike: Blade of the Ruined King -> Berserker's Greaves -> Runaan's Hurricane -> Infinity Edge -> Statikk Shiv -> Bloodthirster
-
Marksman On-Hit: Blade of the Ruined King -> Berserker's Greaves -> Guinsoo's Rageblade -> Runaan's Hurricane -> Black Cleaver -> Death's Dance
-
Jungler On-Hit: Skirmisher's Sabre (Bloodrazor) -> Berserker's Greaves -> Blade of the Ruined King -> Guinsoo's Rageblade -> Runaan's -> Black Cleaver
