Numasu, The Drunk Wanderer (Open to critiques and criticisms)

Numasu made his name known when he was but a bit of twelve, having defeated a group of Naxus soldiers by himself, with only a broken farm tool handle. He was taken in by an Elder by the name of Ju'xin, whom befriended the reluctant young man.

As he grew older so did his recklessness. He would often get into fights with the other boys because of his pride, and often times he went too far during spars. The other elders distrusted him greatly. When he was but nineteen Noxus once again had soldiers in the land he lived, and they invaded the temple to take its riches.

The elders and other students fought them, as they were about to Break through the doors of the temple and take them on, Numasu picked up the sake they had leftover from the night before and drank the whole bottle. The Noxians broke the doors and legend tells the commander got a face full of glass before the young warrior jumped into the fray.

(Passive) Have a Drink: Upon activation of an ability, Numasu drinks sake. At five drinks he takes a % reduced damage from all sources for a short period of time. In addition he gains stacks of armor and magic resist for each stack.

1 stack= (.25 Armor .25 Magic Resist)

(Q Active) Swipe: Numasu swipes at his opponents legs for 30/60/100/140 (+50%AD), slowing them for a short amount of time. This ability can be activated twice in quick succession, stacking the slow.

(W Active) Finished the Bottle: Numasu throws his Sake bottle, dealing 20/50/80/110 (+50% AD) and marking them. This enemy takes increased damage from Numasu.

(E Active) Vault: Numasu uses his Naginata, Naganachi, to vault onto an enemy dealing 35/60/100/125 (+40% AD), knocking them Back a short distance as well as stunning them for a short duration.

(R Active) Taunt of the Drunk: Numasu taunts target enemy into a fight, the idea of fighting a drunk man passively makes it so that for a short duration each hit landed against the target by Numasu is a critical strike.

I actually really like this. I have always been wanting to have some kind of drunken champion to play. Gragas was the closest Riot has gotten. But really Gragas isn't a drunk, just a guy who likes to drink. I also really like the idea of his passive being somewhat randomized. The whole RNG factor would be really cool for a champion as I don't think its been done before.

Dodge cant exist, otherwise the concept sounds pretty good. For the E, perhaps a steroid/duelist tool? Maybe he throws his bottle to create an area that interacts with his other abilities somehow, or confuses an enemy for a second or two? shrug Could even have it be a powerful slow field.

Ok, so a drunken-fist brawler. I see the point of him is to use his abilities as much as possible to gain more defenses from his passive, which is a neat idea. So, a few things come to mind while reading through the kit -

  1. His W's description is a bit confusing. The passive says drinking a bottle of sake grants you a stack, and the W says he drinks a bottle, so how would this W mechanic actually work? Do you actually drink a whole bottle and immediately gain a passive stack? Or maybe it counts as you taking a drink twice and actually drinking 2/5 of a bottle? Or is it non of those two and W counts as you activating your passive just one time?

  2. Does casting the second Swipe count towards the buildup of his passive stacks?

  3. Nothing in league is left to chance, except for Thresh' souls, but even that mechanic has a certain guarantee by assisting or killing champions. I think you should make his E based on the amount of hits he takes rather than leaving things to random luck. Like say, for every X hits he takes, he dodges the next attack or skill cast on him. Same goes for the random cooldown effect of Swipe - you could make it so it gives cooldown reduction specifically to Swipe.

  4. About the ultimate - thematically speaking, if your W marks a single enemy by throwing a bottle at them, I think your R should do the same. Also, your current kit is very oriented towards a 1vs1 battle, since W is a single target skill and Sweep is a double activation ability to be used at close range, do you really want an ultimate that marks the entire enemy team while your basic abilities only grant you single target focus? Consider maybe allowing the marks to increase damage from all sources, similarly to Vladimirs ultimate. Also, why does it have 4 level scalings?
