[idea]Supports & Expensive items: Discount Points Concept * r/leagueoflegends

With the limitations supports have right now. It's very difficult to provided them with items that are a little bit more expensive. Than this stat was added:

And that provided me with the idea to use this value to generate a new mechanic called "Discount Points". Vision score will now be generated the entire game calculating this new ingame currency.

The example above shows how this would work. 1 discount point will reduce the combine cost of an item with 100 gold. So in the case of Righteous Glory that has a combine cost of 1100 gold spending 6 discount points will reduce the combine cost with 600 gold.

Now we finished the example let's talk about some limitations:

  • A Discount Point cannot reduce the price of components.
  • A Discount Point can only replace the full number. So if you have 577 gold the discount points can only reduce the combine cost to 500. This means you will always endup with a number of 0-99 gold after using a discount.
  • Discount Points can only reduce the combine cost of full items. So it cannot reduce the combine cost of item 3024 & item 3801.

How to implement this I was thinking about adding it as an passive on the item 2049 since this is often the biggest factor that is used to generate a hugh vision score number. However I do believe it's possible to implement it as a feature for all roles. For ballance sake I think the Sightstone should do the trick. However it could be added to the item 3711 from the jungle as well.

This would be a way to ballance out support itematisation and limit abuse by the solo laners. Stronger support items can be ballanced arround a new price while some items like Righteous Glory, Iceborn Gauntlet can easyier be used in the role again.
