Yorick rework idea, The Ghoul Overlord (Minion themed)
Just a random thought I had. Yorick
has his ghouls constantly on the field three of them for each of his abilities and generally they follow you around like Elise. However upon the first press of q for example you can tell where the Ghoul to go and you can do this independently for each one.
Now when you press the button once, it prompts a movement, however if you press it twice it activates an ability. For example, press q once, tell the Ghoul to go one direction, then press it two times in quick succession and the ghoul will do a dash and stun the first person hit in the direction its going. W could have a slow field around it, E could deal percent health when it attacks maybe 3% -8% on ability level (fixed attack speed) per hit etc.
As a general rule however each of the ghouls has a certain amount of hit points?? and while they are "alive" they deal basic attack damage, when they are "dead" they just float around without hit boxes but can still use yoricks abilities. Also as a rule, when they get a certain distance from Yorick, they can still use abilities, however they can not grant vision so he can't just have free wards. Also when "dead" they grant no vision period. Also, since Yorick should be a late game champion in my opinion, as the ultimate levels up, the Ghouls get more hit points so they last longer.
Also since the idea of minions doing the overlords bidding is an idea with this, the enemy has to choose to focus Yorick and kill him quick but the minions will destroy in the mean time, or they have to waste time on the Ghouls and Yorick can deal damage himself or get away. (cont. on passive)
I haven't quite figured out an ultimate to set upon but three general ideas. Pressing R will:

Make all the ghouls come to you and you have the abilities of all three just stronger for a few seconds (probably not since it seems like a cop out.)

All the ghouls do their abilities regardless of cool down and drag an enemy champion towards Yorick at the same time like a mini ranged skarner
ultimate. They (The captured) can still do abilities during this though, just they are still dragged towards you regardless like a slow creeping pull of death. (They can fuss but can not get away.) -
Yorick channels the afterlife spawning multiple Ghouls that just create havoc in a certain aoe. Maybe multiples with the same abilities just randomly generating everywhere. Similar to
GP's old random ult just cooler.
His passive would be some sort of tank or dueling passive revolving around his ghouls, such as the more that are alive, the better Yorick performs. Or maybe when all three ghouls deal damage to someone Yorick claims or declares them for the afterlife making the next attack Yorick his on them stronger, or enfeebles the enemy. Since Yorick might be overpowered with ghouls around, maybe abilities can be cast on them like hermi turrets and the more that are down, the more Yorick is punished, that way he can just throw them out lickity split. I.E. all three ghouls down, maybe Yorick has 20% Armor and MR penalty, etc.
I know Yorick has a history of being just overpowered or just under whelming. This idea was made up when I head monty and the other castor for MVP vs Jin Air week 10 day 4 match talk about Elise
and Malzahar
minion team. Ultimately it could be like a slightly ranged Illaoi
where hes good at fighting in "his kingdom" but is weak without ghouls or proper set up. Also maybe a function of his tankiness is effected by how many ghouls he has up etc. Maybe only one of the minions deals on hit effects as well so he can't be too overpowered.
Again, this is just general ideas and would probably not work out well in real game since I can imagine this being oppressive as hell but still an awesome idea for now I think.
