New runes will require many things to remember
As a player since season 2 (with many breaks over time), i can't wait to see new runes in action. League will change quite a bit, and tweaking sets will become crucial to play.
When you consider this, you may start to wonder how more casual players will react to these changes. For example, my girlfriend plays LoL with me sometimes, but im the one making math behind the scenes. After checking several runes/masteries sets i have explained them and helped her create some viable sets, as she is not that much in to mathammering games (like i said - more casual approach).
I came up with an idea, to add up a "Comment" box near new masteries choices. You could add your ideas/tips to remember later on (for example with new precision runes, you can add commentary to the first row - "Take lethal tempo for safe lanes/FF for hard lanes or squishy champs (Kog/Jinx)".
Such tips would be great help for begginers or at the start of the season, untill You will remember them a bit. Good game to compare would be Path of Exile. Great game, unlimited possibilities, unacceptable learning curve for new players. Check skille tree - [ http://i.imgur.com/EI65w4J.jpg ]. After 735 hours i still feel lost after every big update. Sometimes it even scared me from going back to game. In PoE there is a great chance that your first 3-5 characters will be unable to complete core game, as without checking build posted online by more skilled players you will struggle too much.
