[Champion Concept] Obsidian: The Eternal Guardian

Theme: Living Statue.

Lore: One of the eternal guardians upon the walls of the world, warding against the encroaching Void, Obsidian left his post, seeking those who have tunneled through.

And those who have aided them.

Playstyle: Omega Hyper Giga Uber Tank. No seriously. Obsidian has no stick, very limited "Mobility" and cannot one-shot people nor does he have particularly high crowd control. On the other hand, he's ridiculously durable. As in "Infinitely scaling defenses" durable. Oh. And he has 300 base movespeed. So if you let him get at you, it's your own damn fault. Seriously tho, trying to come up with a "Hypertank" character. This is what I came up with. A true ticking time bomb. Take him out and end the game before he gets out of control, lest he simply smashing your core to bits while you try to kill him.

Abilities:

Trait: Unbreakable. Obsidian is immune to armor and magic resist reduction and penetration.

Q: Devastation: Obsidian sweeps his mace through the ground, before swinging it up infront of him. This knocks back/up (in a diagonal) nearby targets and deals great damage, while also kicking up a wave of dust and rubble that does lesser damage and reduces damage output of hit targets in a larger area. Telegraphed and scales with armor and magic resist. Yes. it is self-defeating to have a knockback for a slow, powerful melee on his main damage dealer

W: Unyielding Advance: Increases movement speed and Tenacity. Won't be enough to catch anyone on it's own, but it'll help.

E: Guardian's Resolve: Delayed heal. Heals for % of damage done before resistances. Gain permanent bonus armor and magic resistance by taking damage while Guardian's Resolve is up. Neither heal nor bonus armor/magic resist will activate if you die before the heal kicks in.

R: Shattering Strike: Obsidian's next autoattack has greater range, does increased damage, and shatters them. Shattered targets lose a small portion of their bonus stats from items. Scales with Armor and Magic Resist. Shatter Stacks. The Manfight-winner mechanic. Shattering strike is a low-CD ultimate, yet a ultimate nontheless with the impact to match. Let Obsidian land too many of these on you, and it renders your items useless

All in all, Obsidian is pretty blatantly a lategame character. Once built properly, he's basically unkillable. The counter being, to abuse that he's slow and not that big of a threat. Take his team out then slowly grind him down. Just don't sabotage yourself and give him more resists.

Unfortunately, this damage is linked to auto-attacks, which might just be self-sabotage once he's farmed enough and decided to go thornmail to spite you. More mobile assassins can simply walk around the unstoppable force and kill his less unstoppable allies. Obsidian can then be killed at their leisure.......he ain't going anywhere. Veigar's damage can keep up with Obsidian's durability, leaving him a constant threat. Just hit anything except him. He's not particularly damaging. Just watch out for Shattering Strike. Lane Bullies. Obsidian is weak in the early game and can be shut down by aggressive laning.

Strong Against Most ADCs. Thornmail, unreducable armor, and enough armor can make ADCs simply throw in the towel once farmed enough. Fighters. Get in close enough to get shattered and it won't end well.
