Champion Concept: Bellissa, The Swarm Queen

This marks the third champion in my Seven Deadly Sin Series, if you missed the others, their links can be found at the end of the post. Bellissa is representing the sin of Gluttony, which already has a big representation in League in the form of Tahm Kench. So, in order to distinguish Bellissa from Tahm, I decided to go with the motif of having a mage that isn't eating things herself, but controlling the most ravenous creatures in the world instead, insects. To this end, she acts as the queen of a monstrous army of creepy crawlies, and can command them to do her bidding. Of course those insects also bring back food to their queen as well. Thus Belissa comes out as a very sustainy DOT mage that wins lane through attrition damage rather then burst. I hope you enjoy my concept and leave many helpful, constructive criticisms in the comments below.

Lore: Hunger for freedom and revenge can lead to becoming what you once desired to overthrow, such is the story of Bellissa. Born to a family of cooks in a small, independently governed town on the outskirts of Noxus, Bellissa’s childhood was a sweet one, filled with treats and delicious meals. All this changed when they were invited to the baron’s mansion to become the cooks. The Baron, greedily wanting only the best, constantly ordered Belissa’s parents to make ever more extravagant dishes for him and his host, while offering little salary or compensation in return and the threat of torture or death should they refuse. This left the family with little money, and even less to eat. Bellissa, instead of devouring delicious foods or roaming the bright courtyard like the baron’s son did, instead spent all her free time scouring through garbage for food and taking care of her overworked parents. During these food hunts, she became fond of the various insects and flies she found, as they often lead her to the food she sought after. One day, while out on a scavenging trip, she heard whispers in her ear, promising her the power to overthrow her host, and free her from slavery and scrounging for food. She ignored the claims, but returned home to find it empty and abandoned, with furniture strewn about and a lone piece of paper on the floor. The paper was a warrant of arrest, demanding the family be executed for the attempted poisoning of the baron, and the deadline was earlier that day. Stunned by this revelation, Belissa wept for her dead parents, only to be stopped by approaching footsteps of the guard, undoubtedly coming to claim her as well. In fear she fled into the alleyway, and the voice whispered to her once more. Bellissa ran on, only find herself trapped in a garbage filled dead-end. As the guards closed in, Bellissa accepted the voice’s, who called itself Gula, offer. In the next moments, the shouts of the guards was drowned out as an enormous swarm of bugs rose and devoured the guards. Fueled by a sudden hunger for vengeance, Bellissa used her newfound powers to command an army of insects that swarmed the manor, devouring the entire family and all their servants, save for the baron and his only son who managed to flee the assault. Consumed by an overpowering hunger that she had never felt before, Belissa devoured the baron, her oppressor, whole and thus completed Gula’s pact. Declaring herself the new baroness, she took to ruling over the small town with an iron fist, decreeing tribute of food to be paid to her each week. Those disobeyed or fled were meet by her swarm and dragged back to the palace to be devoured. As Bellissa grew, she became a gorgeous woman, kept thin despite her ravenous appetite by Gula’s magic. As she grew so did her swarm. As ever increasing numbers filled her swarm, she used their might to reach out and conquer other nearby towns in order to sate Gula’s, and thus her own, ever increasing hunger for both food and power.

Passive:** Grim Harvest** If an enemy champion is afflicted with an ability that deals damage each second in a certain radius around Bellissa, she will heal a for 0.5% of her maximum health every second the ability is damaging them. Can occur up to twice per second.

The insects inject venom that slowly shuts down the victim's muscles, causing them to be slowed by (5/6.25/7.5/8.75/10)% for (5) seconds, increasing each second up to (25/31.25/37.5/41.25/50)%.

W: Drone Armor Self-Cast Buff Cost: (70/80/90/100/110) Mana Cooldown: (19/17/15/13/11) Seconds Bellissa summons a swarm of drone bees to defend her. The bees swarm around her defending her from incoming attacks and skills by enemy champions and causing her to take (5/10/15/20/25)% reduced damage from the next (3/3/3/4/4) attacks against her for 6 seconds. Each time she takes damage while the skill is active will cause a group of bees to leave her and fly after the unit that attacked her. They will fly for 2000 units before dieing and if they catch a target, they will sting them, dealing (50/75/100/125/150)+(40% AP) magic damage. Enemies can only be targeted by 1 group every 5 seconds.

E: Feeding Grounds Ground-Target Aoe: 850 Aoe Radius: 300 Cost: (80/90/100/110/120) Mana Cooldown: (12/11/10/9/8) Seconds Bellissa uses her magic to turn an area into swampy mud, slowing all enemies inside by 30% for as long as they remain within the field. The magic also attracts giant centipedes to the surface, which strike after 2 seconds, dealing (90/110/130/150/170)+(70% AP) magic damage to all enemies within the field. Deals 150% damage to minions.

R: Gula’s Feast Ground-Target Aoe: 1000 Aoe Radius: 500 Cost: (140/160/180) Mana Cooldown: (150) Seconds Bellissa uses the full extent of Gula’s power, which, after a 1.5 second channel, covers a large area with a massive cyclone of insects at a target location for 6 seconds. Enemies caught in the storm are bitten repeatedly by the insects, causing them to take (40/80/120)+(25% AP) magic damage each second while inside the storm, and for 2 seconds after they leave. The storm ends if Bellissa gets 1500 units from the center.

another interesting mage tank type. personally I think it is a pretty decently balanced idea except of the % damage reduction and % healing would be a powerful combo... idk, maybe it'll be ok.

W could deal with a sizeable nerf, and the overall damage of Q and R might need some readjusting, but overall a well-designed concept.
