magnet the umm... magnet thingy (champion concept)

i haven't thought of all the specifics yet like it's name or lore but i'd still like to post this idea because i think it's pretty neat basically it's supposed to be a top lane tank (might work in jungle or support idk) that's based on magnetism. he's melee btw. i imagine him as like a scrawny metal guy with magnets for hands, not very creative i know.

passive: all champions have magnetic poles assigned to them (both allies and enemies). mr. magnet's basic attacks and abilities on enemy champion reverse those poles (allies always have the opposite poles of mr. magnet). mr. magnet's basic attacks and abilities gain special effects based on the magnetic poles. if mr. magnet's pole is different than the enemy's (meaning they attract and instead of reject), magnet's basic attacks deal 120% physical damage. if their poles are the same (meaning they reject instead of attract) magnet's basic attacks will deal no damage (as they cannot physically connect) but instead slightly knock the enemy back.

Q magnetic discharge or something: magnet shoots a magnetic pulse at a target location (imagined circle kinda like velkoz E) that deals damage and briefly slows enemies withing the are of effects. reverses the enemy's pole.

W "insert clever name here": target an enemy or an ally within range. on ally cast: pull yourself to the ally (dash, as you have opposite poles from the ally). on enemy cast: if you have the same poles, ability is melee range, knocks back the enemy and deals damage, reversing the enemy's poles. if poles are opposite, ability has a (something like) 500 range. pull yourself to the enemy, damaging and briefly stunning (i mean like 0.1 sec stun, can't give him too much cc), reversing the enemy's pole.

E magnetic leakage (i think it's crucial this be a toggle, to maintain control over the enemies poles more efficiently and allow trading patterns during the laning phase): disrupt the area around you (like amumu W) dealing damage continuously and reversing surrounding enemie's poles every time they take damage. when toggled off, deal a tiny burst of damage that slows enemies, reversing their poles again. the end damage pop should have a cooldown to it, as this is a toggle skill, so you shouldn't be able to to just spam the toggle button to deal the pop damage.

R magnetic mayhem: burst with magnetic energy affecting all enemies around you (should have a large range, kinda like amumu ult i think, maybe abit less). all enemies with poles same as magnet will be knocked back a set distance, while all enemies with poles opposite to magnet will be pulled towards him. i don't know if this ability should deal damage or not, as i'm trying to balance this cc overloaded kit with a serious damage shortage.

now as for the sylas interaction with that ult, basically because all allies always have opposite poles to magnet, sylas either pulls magnet and knocks back everyone else, or pulls everyone else while knocking back magnet, based on his own pole (which he cannot change himself).

i'd love to know what you guys think, maybe get some ideas on how to better this guy or balance him or invent an interesting lore.

edit: forgot to add playstyle. umm so basically he's supposed to be a full on tank that's main goal is to deposition the enemy team and peel for his own, but lacks in the damage department. he has nice mobility with his W which should allow him to attach to his carries to peel for them, or find priority targets on the enemy team and alter their position to better allow his team to reach them. doesn't sound so special, but i thought that with the magnetism mechanics maybe we could introduce a new playstyle with a huge amount of outplay options if you know what you're doing, while not relying so much on existing game mechanics. also in the regard of kit synergy - your E gives you the option to choose how your AAs operate if you time it correctly. let's say damage intervals would be 1 second, you could time your AAs to change the pole as your E is about to change them anyway, thus either dealing damage with every auto, or briefly knocking back with every auto, depending on the situation. this i think will give the champion to ability to trade efficiently in lane.
