Champion Concept: Meyors Madrigal: The Majestic Maestro (or The Phantom of the Opera)
This is my second champion concept post, the first being Mr. Graedag: The Banker of the Underworld. I got inspired by Jeremy "Gaming Curios" "What Bard Could've Been" video, how Bards original concept was this musician, and the ult was this global wave thing, which is Meyors ult with a few tweeks.Maybe if theres ever a Sona rework for some reason they would take a look at this, or not! please give me feedback on my concept! Anyway here Meyors Madrigal: The Majestic Maestro (or The Phantom of the Opera)
Abilties:
Passive: Tempo of the Battlefield Whenever Meyors is in combat, he and nearby allies gain bonus attack and movement speed, slowly climbing up the longer he's in combat to certain limit. The limit goes up as levels up. "Tempo of the Battlefield" goes on cooldown when he leaves combat for a certain amount of time.
Q: Echoing Dissonance Meyors fire a long, thin skillshot that, when it hits a wall, will bounce off of it, bouncing off up 2 walls.
For each buff it gets from its "Symphonic Cadence", the ability gains extra effects. "Overture" will make it create a small explosion whenever it bounces off a wall, "Prelude" will make the explosions larger, bounce off up to 3 walls, and it will turn into a large cone when bounces off the last wall. "Finale" makes the explosions larger, makes it able to pierce enemies and bounce off up to 4 walls.
W: Symphonic Cadence After Meyors other abilities "builds up" (like Kassadins Force Pulse) he can play the "Grim Requiem". When you activate this ability, a small bar will appear near the bottom the screen, above the abilities bar. Notes will go across the bar and if you attack at the same moment when the notes reaches the "Grim Requiems" end, your attacks will do an increasing amount magic and attack damage, and attack speed. The "Grim Requiems" notes will go faster as you go along.
The farther you get through "Grim Requiem" you will get certain buffs. Getting through one 3rd of the "Grim Requiem" will get you the "Overture" buff, getting through two 3rds of it will upgrade "Overture" to "Prelude", which is lasts shorter than "Overture". getting to the end of the "Grim Requiem" will get you the "Finale" buff, which lasts shorter than "Prelude".
"Overture" will give you bonus you bonus allies bonus magic and movement speed. "Prelude" will give you the same buff but a little higher, and bonus armor and magic resist. "Finale" also has the same buffs but higher, and health and mana regeneration and critical strike chance to you and nearby enemies. (I may have chosen these buffs at random)
E: Silent Interlude Meyors damages, silences, and reveal invisible units in a cone in front of him. Each buff it gets from "Symphonic Cadence" it has bonus effects. "Overture" extends its range and slows enemies. "Prelude" also extends its range and will push back enemies a little and slow them. "Finale" again extends its range, push them back and stun them, but not slow them.
R: Magnum Opus: Opera of the Archangels Meyors channels 5 global waves, damaging, slowing, and pushing enemies back. The first, third, and fifth waves will push them back, and the second and fourth waves will slow and damage them. the slow, damage, and push will lessen as it gets farther from Meyors. With the "Overture" buff, the ult will do a 6th extra doing extra damage, and the first wave will reveal all enemies for a short period of time. "Prelude" will do 7 waves and extra damage, and "Finale" will do 8 waves and shortly stun enemies on the last wave.
to get through the entire ult, you have to play through this longer rhythm line, just like the one in "Symphonic Cadence". messing up 1 note will cancel the ult immediately.
Lore:
Meyors cannot remember his parents faces, as he was left at the doorstep of an Ionian orphanage when he was only a baby. His only clue to their identity was a hereditary illness which took his hearing when he was 11. At his time in the orphanage, he soon discovered he has an incredible talent with music, creating melodies that enchanted everyone who heard it. But the amount of praise he received never exceeded that another musical prodigy got: A fellow orphan girl named Sona and her mysterious instrument. Sona was quiet girl, never saying a word to anyone. Meyors was the first person to connect to her with a strong musical rivalry. They challenged the other to achieve greater heights, creating incredible melodies. Once, Meyors even tried to get rid of Sona's mysterious instrument, but it simply returned. One day in their teens, Sona and Meyors decided to do duet as a truce. But before it happened, a rich Demacian lady named Lestara Buvelle came to the orphanage. She adopted Sona, and they left the orphanage immediately, as Sona knew this very well be her only chance to be adopted. Meyors was enraged by her descision, and his heart was filled with anger and sadness ever since. Eventually he too left the orphanage, performing all over Valoran with his best friend and manager, Allonz Rondo.
One day, Meyors learns that Allonz set up a duet performance in Ionia with their old friend Sona. Meyor was still resented her for leaving before, but was excited for their performance. At the night before the performance, he consults his only friend about his feelings toward Sona. Allonz in turn reveals a startingly secret: ever since they have been children, he has always been jealous of Meyors and Sona's musical talent. For years his anger and jealously has pented up, and now he decided to he's going to kill Meyors, and later Sona. But before he could, Meyors luckily just barely escaped, heartbroken by his friends betrayal. The next day, he went back to location where Allonz tried to kill him, where just a few feet away, he made startlelingly discovery. Allonz Rondo has ended up as a victim of the infamous serial killer, the Golden Demon (Khada Jhin). As Meyors gazed at his old friends corpse, both mangled and more beuitiful than ever, like a chilling painting. But instead of being driven insane like an average person, he was enamored by it. His heart filled with a strange feelings he has not felt since Sona fisrt left the orphanage. He ditched his performance with Sona, and disappeared without a trace, searching for Jhin, attempting to copy the Golden Demon's craft and become his apprentice.
