February MCCC - A Bastion of Sin
Welcome everyone, to Febuary's MCCC. It may be a little late, but better late than never, eh?
Regardless, for those that don't know, the MCCC is a Monthly Champion Creation Contest, where you design a champion to fit the requirements of the challenge. This is not a thread for review of pre-created Champions, so please do not submit designs into this thread that are not specifically related to this challenge.
Those that enter the contest have the first three weeks to enter a design, and during the last week I will be giving those designs critiques and scores. The one with the highest score naturally wins the contest.
The Schedule we'll be following will roughly look like this:
Feb 4th ~ Feb 16th: Open to contestants. Feb 17th: Entries Closed, must have Champion Name and Title created. Must also have some sort of Ability Kit to look over. Feb 18th ~ Feb 25th: Continued Development of Designs Feb 26th: Designs closed, no more changes will be allowed, and Judgement Begins.
The rubric I will be going by is as the following:
25 Points for Abilities (Champion Designs must have a Passive, Q, W, E, and Ultimate, and I will be grading each on the quality and originality of the ability compared to abilities already in the game) 15 Points for Lore (Champion Designs must have an original Lore for their Champion. I don't care how you present it, but I will be judging it's quality and originality harshly.) 10 Points for Gameplay (Essentially, how the Champion's kit would fare in the actual game. This is where I'll make note of seemingly toxic gameplay or other grievances I have with the Champion)
For a Total of 50 Points.
With that out of the way, I will announce the Challenge of the Month: A Bastion of Sin! Simply put, this month's theme is on the Seven Deadly Sins: Lust, Envy, Gluttony, Sloth, Greed, Anger, and Pride. You must choose a Sin to work with on your Champion. Each Sin has a special Challenge for your abilities, and the Sin you choose must somehow become apparent in your Lore for the Champion.
Here are the Ability Challenges:
Lust: Your Champion must have a Charm ability. Envy: Your Champion must be able to either mimic an enemy Champion's abilities, visual appearance, or interfere with their ability to use their own abilities. Gluttony: Your Champion must be able to either consume enemies (ala Cho'Gath), have an ability that can stack an infinite amount of times, or create their own consumables/traps. Sloth: Your Champion must gain a bonus of some sort if they remain in the same spot without moving. Greed: Your Champion must be able to interact with their personal ability to receive Gold. You AREN'T allowed to steal gold from your enemy though. If you can think of a special way around this, such as figuring out a cool Deny mechanic, it will be allowed, but be warned I'll be judging that harshly. Anger: Your Champion must use Fury instead of Mana. Pride: Your Champion must benefit in some way for being on their own.
Like I said before, pick one of the Sins to work with on your Champion, make sure to incorporate the Sin into their Lore, and of course fulfill the ability challenges.
I know, this is a fairly simple challenge. But we've had a lot of crazy contests the last few months, so I figured something nice and easy would be a welcome change of pace. All this being said, I think this is everything.
Good luck designers, and Have Fun.
Also, if anyone would be willing to help judge the contest, do not hesitate to say so. I'm always looking for help undertaking the judging. And if there are any questions, do not hesitate to ask in the thread. I check the thread fairly often, and respond to all questions.
EDIT: Almost forgot to put in the Champion Requirements Section!
Your Concept is required to have a few key elements. Most concepts naturally fulfill these, but here they are stated for clarity's sake. Any concept that does NOT have one of these sections is disqualified.
Your Champion Concept MUST HAVE:
A Name A Title A Lore An Ability Kit A Stat Section And of course, have the Challenges completed.
