Champion Concept: Nute, Unfortunate Prodigy
Nute is an old friend of
Jayce. The kind of friend that you can always depend on, no matter what happens. Since childhood, they had their own hierarchy. Rather than play with toys, Jayce was designing and building one, and Nute was the test runner. And while Jayce is a genius gunsmith, Nute is most likely greatest warrior that has ever lived. The only thing that is holding his talent in check, is his absolute lack of fortune.
Nute with time gained experience at relying only on true factors, he had never left anything to chance, and for the most part, this worked wonderfully. Unfortunately, he also made an observation, that he radiated some kind of luckless aura, in school making people fail, on the street causing unfortunate incidents, and causing malfunctions in machines. That left him afraid of hurting his only friend. He joined the army, and there, being the prodigy that he is, he quickly gained fame and ranks, finally reaching the point that people were joining army, just because of him, while also achieving his goal in separating himself from his friend, while also keeping in touch with him through correspondence. His prowess granted him probably the only spark of luck he ever had. He got the privilege to create an elite force of hand-picked supersoldiers, capable of fulfilling any mission, no matter the odds. His squad has been dubbed by his peers "The final line of the Defense", officially known as "Omega"
. Nute joined League after he learned that his friend is suspected of hiding a dangerous criminal
, and also that Jayce is currently in relationship with said criminal. After he learned from the suspect himself the truth, that those speculations are on point, Nute joins the investigation forces of Piltover Police. Working as double agent, for first time he put something to chance. He's betting his own career, fame and freedom, just to help his friend and his lover. He is this kind of friend.
Nute has the height of Jayce, is a bit more muscular, sporting medium-length hair slicked backwards wearing his favourite winter uniform, that used to be gray, but now is so dirty that it's colour is closer to black. He has long, white scarf and belt with buckle that is very similiar to the one that Jayce has. He's also equipped with sturdy rifle that is resistant to his fortune. On the side is written "For the only friend that matters -J". Rifle is ended with bayonet that is as robust as the gun itself.
Nute is an AD Carry, normally associated on bot, with excellent burst and decent survivability, while somewhat lacking in mobility and utility. He can also be used in jungle and toplaner. He is heavily reliant on managing his self-debuffs.
Passive is called Knife Range - If the enemy is in melee range (175u), then Nute adds a bayonet stab to the shot, icreasing the damage by 15/30/50% (Scales with level, with breaking point being at level 8 and 14)
Q is Secondary Shot - Nute uses his high-caliber revolver to make a single shot that deals (1.3/1.4/1.5/1.6/1.8 AD + flat 50/75/100/125/150) damage. Secondary Shot is a skillshot that fires after short charge time. Bullet stops on first hit enemy. While its charging Nute can move, but is slowed down and can change the direction of the shot, with reduced rotating speed, similiar to vel'koz ultimate.
W is Hunker and calm down - Nute lowers his head, raising his health regen, armor and magic resist, while also placing another movement speed debuff on himself. Lasts 6/7/8/9/10 seconds, raises health regen by 0.5% max hp per 2 seconds. Armor and magic resist is 10/10/15/20/25 + 2 for every 1% of critical strike chance. If Nute decides to use Secondary Shot while Hunker and calm down is active, then Nute stops rather than moves with reduced speed, and rotation speed debuff is removed.
E is Break the Stalemate - Passive - Nute Cannot crit. Instead, Critical chance is turned into percentage increase of AD Scaled 20/30/40/50/60% (ie. 100% critical chance changes into 60% more damage). Rapiers bonus critical damage changes into 50% attack speed buff. Can be activated only if Q or W or both are in use. Nute immediately stops the skills he's using, gaining specific buffs depending on skill he "broke". If he broke Secondary Shot, then it fires immediately, with lower damage (depending on charge length, minimum 50% damage) and gains attack damage and range for next 5 shots. If Hunker and calm down is broken, then Nute gains speed buff, tenacity and increased passive damage for 4/5/6/7/8 seconds. If both at the same time are broken, then Nute gains life steal buff and shield equivalent to what would be healed for if he left the W active.
R is Bayonet Charge - Targeted ability. Nute Charges towards selected enemy, impaling enemy with all his force. Bayonet Charge also acts like E, gaining all buffs of current level E and adding aditional effect to the hit. If Q was active, rather than fire instantly, Nute holds the shot until he reaches the enemy, firing point blank, turning Q into guaranteed damage. There is slight delay between charge damage and secondary shot, in which enemy is capable of reacting with heal or shield. If W was active when charge is used, then Nute gains invunerability for charge duration and heals for percentage of ultimate damage. If Both were active when charge is used, then enemy gets rooted for 1/1.5/2 seconds. Ultimate also can be broken with E, when used then ulti goes on reduced cooldown and half of the mana used to charge is restored.
I think it makes his playstyle very unique, revolved around cautious itemization choices. If I'd have to "TL;DR" him, I would say "Reverse Yasuo"
