crit rework idea
PLEASE READ BEFORE COMMENTING small edit while writing this post, I hope I'm wording this good that you guys can understand my idea that I'm going with. writing isn't a strong point of me so if something doesn't make sense lets discuss---Let me start off by saying I know this isn't something they just ship in over night in a patch this is something that the earliest they could get it to us is I would say more than likely the preseason after next year But that doesn't mean we cant talk about it and give riot ideas. Lets start the idea with this, marksman are leagues biggest meme right now. I, as a marksman main know that we have it way too easy when it comes to surviving things and the damage we are capable of. gives us sooooo many tools to keep us alive and too safe for the damage we are capable of doing and that's not even including things like
(which I feel is one of the bigger reasons why marksmen are insane). (especially this hoe
fuck her)(had to get some rage out somewhere lul) I think we need to reshape marksmen to be what I would think everyone can agree on should be the purpose of them and thats a strong dps backline to deal with the beafy front line tanks and to take objectives. We cant really bring them to a more balanceable state though with the way crit works since with it, they just one shot about every squishy and with just
make tanks irrelevant. Lets start off with the basic of this idea, CRIT WILL NOT BE JUST A SIMPLE DAMAGE % INCREASE BASED OFF OF CHANCE. Instead it works like a new kind of, adaptive(only word I can think of to describe it) stat, and with buying more crit items the stat bonus will just get increased by a certain amount. How this would work will be that its not crit chance anymore, but just crit(I couldn't come up with a better name ) and items just give a flat crit stat and the bonuses go into effect the moment you buy it. Now what I meant by adaptive is this, when attacking a tank when you have crit you start a very small bleed, over time, after you are in combat a little bit you start to really make them bleed (bleed would be %hp ofcourse). Now I know you might ask how armor would affect them with this and tbh I'm not to sure yet but my idea is that armor only stops marksmens total ad and not the crit bleed and bonus damage to squishies. Now for the other part of this. This one I'm still not sure about yet but this is all I got rn, when attacking squishies and you have crit the bonus you would get would be tha you'll get some bonus damage onhit, not a multiplier but just extra damage(not big amount of it) and also some movement speed. I feel like this will help them in any kind of 1v1 they would have against another marksmen or maybe an assassin by making it so that kiting and movement are more important than just standing there and hoping you get that chance for 200% damage(or whatever current crit is) to go off. Now, another question you might have is, what would buying
do. The answer I have right now
passive it would just increase the bonuses you get like it does now (so a stronger bleed for tanks and little bit more damage and movement speed against squishies). Another question someone might have is how
would work with this. The answer is that it would just decrease the bleed damage (and I guess the bonuses for squishies if someone squishy actually buys it lol) like it does currently. I feel like this change would make it so we aren't just bursting people down with 1.2k autos from 500-600 range(or more you filthy piece of shit
) and actually make it so we have to work to get what we want done. I know this is a long post with an idea that'll probably never happen and honestly might be kinda dumb but I didn't write this for riot to see it and just use it(although if they like they can). I wrote this as an idea to a problem that league has and how I think we could fix it. If you read this all the way through thank you and hopefully someone at riot sees this.
