Hello all! Been watching some developer's videos on youtube about champs they've expressed interest in making but never go to. At one point they mentioned interest in having a panda champion and immediately got me thinking that one could totally exist in LoL. So, I got to creating my own shortly after. His name is Gang-Jie and what he looks (or would like) can be found in the link above. Below will be his location in Valoran, his backstory, and then his ability descriptions. Hope you enjoy this concept and be sure to give me lots of feedback!

Location: Ionia

Backstory:

Gang-Jie had been born within the wilds of Ionia and grown up in peace and prosperity within his small and remote village, his father, being its elder. As he grew older, he became more involved in traveling to Master Yi’s home village (before Yi was even born), and periodically delivered natural and healthy foods and berries to the village as a show of kindness. Gang-Jie became the elder by popular demand after his father had died of natural causes, and still pursued good relations with the neighboring village and things remained the same until the Noxians arrived. After Master Yi’s village had been destroyed, the Noxians then came for Gang-Jie’s village, aiming to wipe out any remnants that was related to the Wuju fighting style. The army had stormed the village without warning, and quickly swept through the streets as they took everyone hostage, and killed those who chose to resist. Gang-Jie, coming back from scavenging and foraging earlier that morning, had no knowledge his village was under siege, nor that Master Yi’s village had been decimated. As the village came into his view, he dropped all that he had gathered and calmly walked back into the town. Though soldiers surrounded him and had their weapons at his throat, he demanded to speak with their leader. Led to their town square, he came face-to-face with a frail yet sinister female with scorching red-hair, she held two blades in her hands and was dressed in black from neck to toe. Skeptical that this woman was in command, he challenged her to combat and delivered the following guidelines. If he won, they would leave their village and return to Noxus, and if she won, then he and his village would submit to them under their rule. The woman agreed with an evil grin on her face as they took their places on a large and open, wooden platform. It was a landslide as he defeated her, but as he expected, she did not stay true to her word as she ordered the entire town to be destroyed, her voice full with humiliation and anger. Gang-Jie was forced to flee as most of his village was taken captive. Ever since then, he has wandered the wilds of Ionia in searches for a way to free his people from the clutches of Noxus and restore what had been taken away.

Abilities:

Passive: Master Forager

Gang-Jie is a master forager, giving him extra benefits from being inside the jungle; because of this, he is also accustomed to working in the jungle, allowing him to use the environment more effectively.

Bamboo Fruits: Unique fruit plants will spawn along the walls inside the jungle at random points in time in random areas of the jungle. Whenever Gang-Jie attacks a Bamboo Fruit, he collects it and gains 1 stack of Bamboo Fruit. Gang-Jie can hold a max of 14 Bamboo Fruit at a time. Whenever Gang-Jie returns to his side’s fountain, he sells all the Bamboo fruit he has acquired, gaining 35 gold for every Bamboo Fruit he sells.

Blast Cone: Whenever Gang-Jie is effected by a blast cone directly, he automatically activates Martial Flop, affecting the area he lands on.

Scryer’s Bloom: Whenever Gang-Jie uses a Scryer’s Bloom, a ward is immediately placed at where the plant was (normal ward rules still apply).

Honeyfruit: Whenever Gang-Jie attacks a Honeyfruit, he immediately gains 1 stack of Bamboo Fruit. Collecting the honeyfruit afterwards also heals him for an additional 14+current level HP.

Q: Martial Flop

Gang-Jie leaps into the air towards a target location within a 650-unit range, becoming un-targetable for 1 second, before landing at the location. All targets within 200/225/250/275/300 units of Gang-Jie after he lands are knocked up for .5 seconds and take 130/150/170/190/210 (+15% Attack Damage) (+25% Ability Power) physical damage.

Cooldown: 25/24/22/19/15 seconds.

W: Restore and Preserve

Gang-Jie feeds his foraged goods to an ally near him, healing them and boosting their movement.

An ally creature within 650 units of Gang-Jie targeted by this ability heals for 40 (+5 per Level) (+16%/18%/20%/22%/24% Ability Power) HP, removing any slow on that creature, and increasing their movement speed by (+4%/6%/8%/10%/12% Ability Power) for 3 seconds. Additionally, when this ability is used, half of Gang-Jie’s current Bamboo Fruit stacks (rounded up) are removed, healing all creatures within 300 units of the affected creature for 15 HP for every Bamboo Fruit removed.

Cooldown: 18/17/15/12/8 seconds.

E: Combo Strike

Gang-Jie begins delivering a vast array of different strikes, all dealing different effects at certain times.

Passive: Gang-Jie has a 3-hit sequence, which resets on the 4th hit (the 4th hit would be the 1st hit of the next sequence). Every 3rd hit, deals 1.5%/2.5%/3.5%/4.5%/5.5% of the target’s maximum health as true damage. This combo resets after 1 second of not hitting an enemy creature/champion.

Active: Gang-Jie can activate this ability which will deliver a different effect depending on which part of the combo Gang-Jie is at. After 1st-Hit: Gang-Jie immediately delivers another attack, dealing (50% Attack Damage). After 2nd Hit: Gang-Jie knocks up all enemies in a small cone in front of him for .5 seconds, dealing 25/40/55/70/85 (+20% Ability Power) physical damage. After 3rd Hit: Gang-Jie spins, knocking back all enemies near him over a 150-unit distance dealing 30/50/70/90/110 (+10% Attack Damage) (+20% Ability Power) physical damage.

Cooldown: 15/14/12/9/5 seconds.

R: Master Scavenger

Gang-Jie unleashes his full potential for a set period of time.

After activating this ability, Gang-Jie ignores terrain, instead rolling over it. Additionally, Gang-Jie gains bonus movement speed equal to (4%/7%/10% Ability Power). This effect lasts until 5/6.5/8 seconds have passed before going on cooldown.

**Cooldown: **90/80/70 seconds.

Hope you guys enjoyed this champion concept! Again, be sure to let me know what you think! Thanks! [slayer-jinx-catface]

Q seems overpowered, W is basically nidalee W, E seems overpowered, and R is just Sol E/ Kled R on a longer cooldown. I don't believe riot accepts any champion ideas anyway.

This was really well done and I love the way you implemented the fruits, especially the way the blasting cone casts the Q. Really neat idea.

I like your ideas, everything is very cohesive. The only issue I can see is the W using up Bamboo Fruit stacks, which could discourage someone from healing allies because they don't want to use up those 35 gold per stack (seriously, that's a lot of gold). Otherwise, excellent concept!
