Vladimir Rework Concept

The problem: Vladimir is too straight forward. He's a simple, tug-of-war champion with very little to offer in terms of strategy. You always max Q first. Always.

The solution: Borrow from DotA's Morphling, DotA's Lifestealer, DotA's Necrophos and from Bram Stoker's Dracula to make him both strategically diverse and reminiscent of a true vampire.

I bring you the Vladimir rework.

Vladimir the Crimson Reaper

Passive: Crimson Pact Vladimir gains bonus health equal to 120% of his AP. Vladimir gains bonus AP equal to 5% of his remaining health. Vladimir gains bonus AD equal to 10% of his missing health. When Vladimir falls below 50% HP, he loses his human semblance, his auto-attacks become melee and his abilities change. His secondary abilities do not share a cooldown with his normal abilities.

Q: Transfusion (Above 50% HP) RANGE: 600 COOLDOWN: 10 / 8.5 / 7 / 5.5 / 4 ACTIVE: Vladimir drains the lifeforce of the target enemy, dealing them magic damage and healing himself. 「 MAGIC DAMAGE: 90 / 125 / 160 / 195 / 230 (+ 60% AP) 」 SELF HEAL: 15 / 25 / 35 / 45 / 55 (+ 25% AP)

Q: Blood Gorge (Below 50% HP) RANGE: 800 COOLDOWN: 7 / 6 / 5 / 4 / 3 ACTIVE: Vladimir lunges at target enemy, dealing them physical damages and healing himself. If the target is killed by Blood Gorge, it's cooldown is reset. 「 PHYSICAL DAMAGE: 90 / 125 / 160 / 195 / 230 (+ 100% AD) 」 SELF HEAL: 15 / 25 / 35 / 45 / 55 (+ 40% AD)

W: Sanguine Pool (Above 50% HP) RANGE: 150 + 5 / 10 / 15 / 20 / 25 PER ADDITIONAL SECOND (capped at 700) COST: 10 HEALTH PER SECOND + 25 / 20 / 15 / 10 / 5 PER ADDITIONAL SECOND COOLDOWN: 26 / 23 / 20 / 17 / 14 TOGGLE: Vladimir sinks into a pool of blood, gaining 37.5% bonus movement speed which decays exponentially for 1 second and becoming untargetable. The pool gradually widens. Enemies who stand upon the pool are Slow icon slowed by 40% and dealt magic damage every half second, while Vladimir heals himself for 15% of the damage done. Vladimir's health cannot be reduced below 1 this way. 「 MAGIC DAMAGE PER HALF SECOND: 20 / 33.75 / 47.5 / 61.25 / 75 (+ 3.75% bonus health) 」 「 MAXIMUM MAGIC DAMAGE: 80 / 135 / 190 / 245 / 300 (+ 15% bonus health) 」

W: Sanguine Invasion (Below 50% HP) RANGE: Current range of Sanguine Pool COST: 20 HEALTH PER SECOND + 50 / 40 / 30 / 20 / 10 PER ADDITIONAL SECOND COOLDOWN: 30 / 28 / 26 / 24 / 22 TOGGLE: Sanguine Invasion is only usable while Sanguine Pool is toggled. Upon activation, Sanguine Pool ends and Vladimir enters the bloodstream of the enemy closest to the center of the pool, prioritizing champions and large monsters. While inside his victim, they are slowed by 50%, cannot use their abilities, and Vladimir controls their movement and auto-attacks. During this time, they can damage and be damaged by their allies. If the victim dies under this effect, Vladimir emerges healed for 50% of the victim's maximum health.

E: Wane (Above 50% HP) COST: 15 / 30 / 45 / 60 / 75 MAXIMUM HEALTH PER SECOND TOGGLE: Gain 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 AP and 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 BONUS AD per second.

E: Wax (Below 50% HP) COST: 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 AP and 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 BONUS AD PER SECOND. TOGGLE: Gain 15 / 30 / 45 / 60 / 75 MAXIMUM HEALTH per second.

R: Glamour (Above 50% HP) PASSIVE: Vladimir regenerates health equal to 1% / 2% / 3% of his AP per second, per visible enemy champion within his sight range. This passive is lost while Vladimir is below 50% HP. COST: 1% MAXIMUM HEALTH PER SECOND + 3% / 2% / 1% PER ADDITIONAL SECOND COOLDOWN: 180 / 140 / 100 ACTIVE: Vladimir becomes untargetable to his enemies. After damaging an enemy, that enemy can target Vladimir again. Glamour ends when Vladimir falls below 50% health.

R: Darkness Falls (Below 50% HP) PASSIVE: Visible enemies within Vladimir's sight range lose health equal to 1% / 2% / 3% of his AP per second. This passive is lost while Vladimir is above 50% HP. COST: 1% MAXIMUM HEALTH PER SECOND +3% / 2% / 1% PER ADDITIONAL SECOND COOLDOWN: 180 / 140 / 100 ACTIVE: Vladimir removes shared vision from enemy champions, gains 100% lifesteal and 80% / 90% / 100% movement speed. Darkness Falls ends when Vladimir dies.

There's a reason why League isn't like Dota.

While Dota is the superior game when it comes to long battles, League focuses on skirmishes throughout the entire match. Anything lasting longer than thirty seconds is rare in itself, honestly.

Also, the kit is overloaded as heck. Vlad doesn't need to be changed just because you feel he isn't fun. Lets get champions who need a rework out of the way before we start ruining other champions.

and you got three abilities that toggle, each with two effects and two that causes Vlad to be untargetable. Lets not forget the most important one: His W. Abilities that steal control from a player will never be viable. Ever.

What's stopping me from getting it at level one, then forcing the enemy to walk into my own turret? The HP drain? Because it'll be over before it kills me/kicks me out and I'll get most of it back anyway.

But that doesn't excuse his other abilities either. Lemme just build tank and then keep E on indefinitely. Now I can one-shot anything I want since my regen from items and my abilities will heal up the flat hp drain before it gets a chance to become a punishment.

This is barring the fact that I'll also have a free 150ap buff from just being capable of using Warmog's passive.

Tanky? More damage than carries? impossible to kill? Game-breaking CC?

Boy, Riot will love this one.

Tanky? See Sion. More damage than carries? See Darius. Impossible to kill? (his ult kills him, so i dont know why you're saying that) See Wukong. Game-breaking CC? See Tahm Kench, Amumu, Azir, etc.

You know what? Nevermind. Your sarcasm, indignancy and self-righteousness has convinced me that I'm wrong and that imagination is dead. I'm going to go cry myself to sleep now.
