Ken, the Blade Master Role: AD Caster

Passive: Blade Mastery Ken starts the game with the option to buy 1 of 2 unique blades, free of cost. This item can be upgraded to grant his abilities additional benefits. Ken may only have 1 unique item.

Start of game: Long Blade +5 (+1 for every level) bonus attack damage

Ken's Blade +3 (+1 for every level) bonus attack damage +30 health +3% lifesteal

Upgrades (cost equal to both infinity edge and bloodthirster respectively): Blade of Infinity +70 attack damage +20% critical strike chance UNIQUE: Critical strike bonus damage is increased by 50%. UNIQUE: Your blades now receive critical strike bonuses i.e. critical strike chance and damage now apply to blades. UNIQUE: "Rune Blade" is now "Blade of Infinity" and is a guaranteed critical strike.

Blade of Death +75 attack damage UNIQUE: +20% life steal UNIQUE: Your life steal overheals you, converting the excess healing into a shield that absorbs up to 50 - 350 (based on level) damage and decays when out-of-combat for 25 seconds. UNIQUE: Your blades now receive life steal bonuses i.e. life steal now applies to blades. UNIQUE: "Rune Blade" is now "Blade of Death" and heals you for 100% of the damage it deals.

Q: Blade Ward Ken deploys a blade at a target location. The blade does physical damage in a small area and slows enemies for 2 seconds. Blades persist for 5 seconds. Ken stores 2 charges of this ability, that recharge over time. Ken gains bonus physical damage for every blade in the world.

Cooldown: 8 seconds Cost: 40 mana Damage: 50/75/100/125/150 damage (+80% of bonus AD) Bonus Physical Damage: 5/10/15/20/25 bonus AD Slow: 15%/20%/25%/30%/35%

W: Blade Kick Ken performs a kick in a small arc in front of him. If the kick makes contact with a persisting blade, then the blade will fly outward in the direction that Ken kicked, dealing physical damage to all enemies it passes through. The blade fixes itself in the ground at the end of its path. Every blade after the first only deals 25% of its damage.

Cooldown: 12/10/8/6 seconds Cost: 60 mana Damage (from blade passing through enemies): 50/75/100/125/150 (+100% of bonus AD)

E: Return to Me Ken calls all persisting blades to him, causing them to all land in a clump in front of him at the same time. The blades deal physical damage equal to the damage from "Blade Kick" to all enemies they pass through. When Ken uses this ability, the cooldown of "Blade Kick" is reset.

Cooldown: 16/15/14/13/12 seconds Cost: 60 mana

R: Rune Blade Ken drops a special blade in front of him. When kicked, this blade becomes a wide long-range skill-shot that mini-stuns all enemies hit. This blade acts as a normal blade and can be called back. "Rune Blade" gains bonus effects depending on which unique blade Ken has equipped from his passive.

Cooldown: 120/90/60 seconds Cost: 100 mana Damage: 75/150/250 (+100% of bonus AD)

Basic Champion Idea: Ken deploys blades that he can kick in a direction in order to deal damage. He can then recall these blades, mid-air or not, and reset the cooldown of his kick, thus allowing him to kick the blades back again for an additional count of damage.

The positioning of these blades is crucial, as you need them in the right spot to kick them.

Ken's ultimate is his biggest source of burst damage, and is essentially a steroid to his normal combo because it acts like a normal blade.

Ken can either be built crit-strike, or life-steal. This is dependent on his passive.

So his upgrades are basically Bloodthirster and infinity edge? How much are they gonna cost? That could make or break this kit most of all. Otherwise interesting kit I suppose.

Sorta like shen with the blade coming back to him, rest seems kinda good but it could be either unbalanced or in the dumpster

Ok, fairly basic and not very overwhelming concept. Basically without CC, any champion with mobility can outplay your kit, so that's something to consider. Funny you should named your champion Ken, which means fist, when he uses swords, but I'm not one to judge.

Regarding his version of Viktors Hex Core, I'm pretty sure I know that answer, but just to make it clear - if I choose a strarting blade, am I able to upgrade it to either infinity edge of bloodthirster variants? or is each blade limited to one specific upgrade?

Either way, this creates a problem because basically you can have two bloodthirsters or two infinity edges and stack their full passive abilities. In case you didn't know, just because an item's passive says Unique doesn't mean you can't duplicate the effect. A unique passive without a name can be stacked if it comes from two different items. For example, if you have two Forbidden Idols, you only get the bonus heal and shield effect of one item, but if you build both a Redemption and Ardent Censer, each one giving you the same unique passive of +10% bonus heal and shield, they stack up to a total of 20% because it's the same UNIQUE passive, but the items that provide it are different. Now, a unique passive WITH a name will not stack no matter what. A good example is the Harmony passive, which gives you bonus health regen based on your bonus mana regen. This passive comes from both Mikaels' Curcible and Athene's Unholy Grail, two different items, but if you build both you won't stack up Harmony, you will still only gain the effect of one item.

Now, do you see the problem? With Blade of Infinity and Infinity Edge you end up with 140 AD, 40% crit chance and 300% crit damage, and with Blade of Death and Bloodthirster you get 150 AD, 40% lifesteal and a 700 damage shield. Both cases are strong as all hell considering you gain these effects from just two items and from not just your basic attacks, but your basic blades and Rune Blade as well. If all you wanted was for his blade wards and rune blade to gain basic attack on-hit effects, then just add that to the skills, it would be the same as Ezreal's Mysic Shot or Yasuo's Steel Tempest.
