Where the only thing that's different is the splash art?

For a lot of skins, I notice the splash art on the loading screen, but afterwards I don't really notice anything ever again. Because I'm playing the game and focusing on other things.

You could release older splash art for the nostalgia http://lolwp.com/wp-content/uploads/Pirate_Splash_0.jpg

or even make totally new ones like... I dunno...

A Braum buried in poros

or

A Draven looking at a massive portrait of himself

or something.

People might accuse you of making a cash grab though. (but when do people NOT accuse you of making a cash grab hehe)

I think 150 RP for a splash-art only skin would be a great idea.

I only buy skins based on how cool the splash looks. Like Mecha Malphite. Sick splash, disgustingly bad in game model.

They had considered very cheap recolors. We just never heard of anything of it again.

This would destroy the visual identity of the game. I really don't want my loading screen to be filled with horrible, outdated and trashy art. You can change them yourself if you want, so only you can see it but don't expect me to appreciate your love for ugly things.
