Durham holder of the frontline – Champion concept

Lore: Durham had one mission to protect king Jarven the 1st. Because of his achievements and feats of strength he had been chosen to oversee the king’s frontline. He prevented any army, beast, or great warrior from reaching the king, and it seemed as though nothing could get through him. Durham had easily staved off every attempt of the Noxian army at taking the kings life through the entirety of the war until… They had been fighting a fierce battle against Noxus, and the enemy army had reached his line quicker than they had ever before, Durham could not understand how the Demacian army had collapsed so quickly, but then he saw the cause. It was the warlord Sion the legendary warrior of Sion. Sion charged forth at Durham’s defense, it was obvious to Durham that this beast of a warrior was aiming for the king’s life, so he braced himself and called for his men to brace their pike line for impact. When Sion hit their pike line, he tore through it like paper, shrugging off the wounds from the pikes as if they had been twigs. Durham had been sent flying by the impact, but his natural sturdiness and his armor had allowed him to survive. As soon as he could stand, he ran at full speed to the king’s aid. When he had reached the king almost all his guards and closest warriors had already been killed. Sion already had his hands on Jarvan the 1st, and no matter how much Durham and the remaining soldier stabbed Sion he would not fall. Finally, after all the damage Sion had taken, he finally died, but it was too late the king Jarvan the 1st had died. Durham had completely failed his king had been slain because he was too weak, he could not even hold long enough to let the king receive warning of Sion’s approach. Now as the Noxion army closed in Durham ran in shame. Durham could never forgive himself over the course of the next 50 or so years he held onto his regret, having outcasted himself from Demacian society to live in the wilderness. Then one day when Durham visited a nearby village, he heard a rumor, of Sion’s return. Many of those who knew of Sion’s carnage, had been terrified to hear of his return, but not Durham. He had poured all his regret shame into training himself; his weakness had been why the king had died. Even though he was in his 80’s he had not become frail, but he knew that he could not maintain himself this way for much longer. So as soon as he could Durham set out to find Sion and put him to rest forever. Durham had one mission to end Sion for good.

Playstyle – Durham is a tank, who focuses on holding positions and peel. He is highly defensive in nature and does not have the best engage. He will probably be extremely hard to dive and gank but will be horrible at chasing as he has no mobility. He will probably be played as toplaner and support.

**Passive: Steadfast – **Durham takes reduced damage while not moving or his movement is impaired. (if it needs a buff this amount can be increased even further while stunned).

**Q ability: Holdfast – **Durham braces his pike in a certain direction for 2 sec. If an enemy interacts with the pikes' hitbox while moving towards Durham, they will lose their movement entirely for a brief moment, even if they are jumping or dashing. They will take more damage the faster they were moving before being stopped by this ability. (e.g. Akali ults into takes massive damage and is stopped)(If the enemy has unstoppable they will take the damage but not be stopped e.g. Yi ann Sion ult)

W ability: Protect the Weak - Durham creates a circle around himself in which he absorbs a percentage of the damage his allies are taking. He also will take reduced damage from non-absorbed damage.

E ability: Stave Off – Durham creates a shock wave that scales of ap for damage and will knock the enemy and projectiles away. (If it’s too strong the projectile effect can be removed)

R ultimate ability: Hold the line - Durham calls forth a line of soldiers that all have steadfast (the q ability deployed) but after having the ability used up will then just stab dealing Durham’s auto attack damage to those in the line of their pike’s. This would last for around 5 seconds effectively blocking off all enemies. Though the soldiers can be killed by enemies. These soldiers will have their health scale off Durham’s hp.
