Custom Summoner Icons?

i'd love it if we could have our own distinct summoner icons. i think that a custom summoner icon feature should be integrated into LOL. Personally i feel that it would make for a less uniform and more diverse LOL universe. i'd really like for a Riot employee to comment on this to see if this is a bright idea.
