Fiddlesticks Update Concept

Quick point forms for what I want to accomplish with this concept post:

  • Have Fiddlesticks not reliant on so many items to do well. Since he is mainly a jungler or support, this helps him out greatly!

  • Even better support for support Fiddlesticks, but do not worry he will still be a jungle-mage! Overall it is better control for harass that will not auto-push the minion wave and more team-utility through-out his entire kit.

  • Better counter play for low elo and offer him better ways to do better in high elo, especially in coordinated gameplay (competitive play). Two main things to this is no more instant fears for better game clarity, but he will still have a point and click fear. The other thing is that his ultimate's power will no longer be linked to whether he is seen or not for its power, offering better clarity for when he can jump in and more opportunities for good or great Fiddlesticks players since we want his ultimate to be less noob-stomping and more even across all skill ranges.

  • Better usage of his scarecrow theme from a ability kit level.

  • More use cases for abilities to have more skill expression from the Fiddlesticks player. Make the player feel like they are playing the champion and that they make the champion their own, they become one with our lovable scarecrow! You know, rather than feel like the player is just going through the motions and is a pawn in a puppet master's hands, giving the player to make their own choices on how to use the ability.

  • Ensure Fiddlesticks is very fun to play as, which is very important!


Attack Range: 575 units Attack Animation: Greatly improved and feels more fluid and better to use Attack Speed: 0.675 +4% per level Movement: 335 units per second Attack Damage: High to Low Health Regen: Almost non-existent


Terrify (Passive):

When Fiddlesticks stands still for 1.5 seconds without attacking he will gain Terrify, his next basic attack or damaging ability will fear struck enemies for 1.25 seconds, gradually decreasing down to 0.5 second over 5 seconds after moving around. Minions and monsters are feared for 3 seconds.

The same target can only be feared by Fiddlesticks once every 6 seconds.

Scarecrow (Q):

Cooldown: 14 seconds Cost: 40/50/60/70/80 mana Range: 800/950/1100/1250/1400 | 800 | 500 units

Fiddlesticks constructs a scarecrow at the target location after a 0.75 second delay, revealing a large area around it and interacting with some of his other abilities, for the next 6 seconds.

If Terrify is ready then once the scarecrow is fully constructed, it will consume Terrify and fear nearby enemies for 1.5/1.75/2/2.25/2.5 seconds with the initial construction.

(Enemies feared by the Scarecrow move away from it instead of Fiddlesticks.)

Drain (W):

Cooldown: 2 seconds Cost: 25/30/35/40/45 mana per second Range: 600 units Tether: 650 enemy / 800 ally

Passive: Standing still will cause Fiddlesticks to suck the life from nearby enemies, healing himself for 2/3/4/5/6(+2%AP) health per second for every enemy he is draining from, increased to 10/15/20/25/30(+10%AP) health per second for enemy champions and epic monsters.

Active: Fiddlesticks channels in place, either draining the target enemy for 40/70/100/130/160(+50%AP) magic damage per second or healing an allied champion for 10/25/40/55/70(+20%AP) health per second.

Every second Fiddlesticks heals an allied champion for increases his own healing by 6/7/8/9/10% for 4 seconds, up to 30/35/40/45/50% increased healing.

Dark Wind (E):

Cooldown: 12/11/10/9/8 seconds Cost: 50/60/70/80/90 mana Range: 1000 units Max Away Flight: 600 units

Fiddlesticks summons a crow to soar in the target direction, dealing 30/50/70/90/110(+40%AP) magic damage and silencing for 1.5 seconds to the first enemy struck. This crow will then fly off in a random direction, but dislikes scarecrows, causing it to fly in a direction that would cause it move away from an active nearby scarecrow.

Additionally, Fiddlesticks' mouse cursor can bounce the crow back to the closest enemy to it while it is flying away, damaging and silencing the target. The crow can be bounced a maximum of 5 times. The same target can only be silenced once and damaged three times.

Crow Storm (R):

Cooldown: 110/90/70 seconds Cost: 100 mana Range: 1200 units Width: 400 units

Fiddlesticks channels in place for 1 second and then summons a murder of crows in the target direction for 5 seconds, dealing 125/200/275(+60%AP) magic damage per second to struck enemies.

Fiddlesticks can right-click an active scarecrow while channeling, swapping places with the scarecrow once the channel completes and then summoning the murder of crows in the chosen direction.
