So we all know that different builds are annoying and pointless. The current items set up is everyone can buy the same items for the same price. What if instead of being the same price for every character there is a variance, so if you are an assassin then you have certain items cheaper than something that is more tanky, or that buying similar items means that those that are in that same grid have the price go up. So to start the game you have some items that are cheaper for your character as compared to other items that are more expensive. Then depending on what you buy, the items change there amount. this would mean that you might get to one fit cheaper than another because of a variation in your itemization. So lets say you want to go tanky assassin, You can still build it, would just be a little more expensive than maybe going for a little bit of a dps, armor pen, health steal.

Along with this lets say you buy 4 items that all contribute health as their major piece, instead of having them all be the same ammount maybe your first item is a -10% from price, your second health item is the same, your 3rd is +10% and your forth is +20-30% more. You could still build what you wanted, it would just be maybe a little bit more costly to build like that. It would give the game a little bit of a higher skill curve, how ever it would allow riot to direct how they feel a champion should be build/ shouldn't be built with out actually removing it from the game. Also by doing this it would have each by have a little bit more meaning.
