Hello everyone.

I made the following small study, "Universe of League of Legends Network Analysis", as an exercise to apply social network analysis to a hobby.

To determine if two champions are connected I took for reference the LoL Universe web page, in which each champion have a list of their “officially” related champions. Also, I used the relations between Champions showed in each of Champion’s Wikia background web pages since the Wikia take in consideration connections from the Universe comics, short histories, etc. that for an unknown reason, are not yet listed in the Universe web page. For example, in the comic “Ziggs & Jinx: Paint the Town” we can see a relation for this two Champions, this relation it is listed on the Wikia page but not on the Universe page.

This is the Universe of League of Legends Fully Connected Network:

Amumu, Rammus, Annie, Ivern, and Bard are not in the network because they have none connection with other champions. Zac and Twitch are connected between them, but not with the "big" Network.

This was a small study that you can read here. In it, I found some interesting things like, that on average you need 5 connections to get from one champion to another. The longest path is from Ahri to Lulu and requires 10 connections.

Also, that there is a strong relationship between the aspects of Mount Targon (Zoe, Diana, Leona, Taric, AurelionSol, and Pantheon ).

Finally, the most well-connected Champions (in terms of related champions) are Nasus , and Swain , this was a big surprise since I believed it would be Ryze .

P.S. I tried my best to translate the study, but since English is not my native language, I apologize in advance for any errors it could have.
