Galbraith, The Bounty Hunter
About a year ago, I was bored, as normal. I wanted to create artwork and drafts of characters with abilities included for a MOBA called Reality. It sounds dumb already but stay with me. I ended up with about 70 character designs before I started slowing down the creation progress. I started to see it less as an actual game that will never exist and more of a collection of different characters. So, I'd like to see where I can fit a couple of these characters I've made into the League universe, starting with Galbraith.
Lore, which will sound incredibly stupid but oh well
There once was a small island, to the east of Ionia, that inhabited one of the richest areas on the globe in wildlife. However, the island was inhabited by a huge wooden-mask wearing tribe known only as the Womboozas (this sounded way better in my mind.) They were obsessed with their great Totem God named Xibalbro, who constantly 'demanded' sacrifice for protecting the tribe, which consisted of the rich and diverse wildlife the island was known for. And on one particular day, a tiger pack was captured and brutally dragged into a ring of purple fire, surrounded by half naked sapphire monsters chanting a strange language. The pack consisted of 3 children, a mother and a father.
As soon as the pack were let go of, every member of the tribe was silenced by the screams of a supposed Shaman, who weld a wooden staff littered with bright feathers which were multi-coloured to look like the purple fires around the shivering orange beasts. But one did not shiver. The father. He stared down the Shaman square in the eyes as he waved his staff around and conjured up a purple aura around him. The father broke the stare off when he heard a yelp behind him, and saw his three beautiful cubs disintegrate before him, and as he saw their ashes rises upwards, he saw the same thing happen to his partner. It was only a matter of time before he went up to. But, even an animalistic and wild mind can tell that somethings wrong if the guy trying to kill you is running away. The father had forgotten that we was marked with black magic from a faraway witch, who foresaw his fate and had put the mark on him to save himself. She was an enemy of the Wombooza, and would do anything to rip them to shreds after what they'd done to the wildlife around the island.
The tiger felt stretching and painful spikes of blood rush around his whole body. His throat seemed to stretch out of place and his limbs straightened and bent awkwardly in the eerie purple misted breeze. Finally, it stopped. But really, it had only just begun. A strange urge in his mind forced him to stand on only his two hind legs, and as he did so he noticed how he could think properly, and how he could move just like how the witch and the Shaman did. He was humanoid. Without noticing anything else, his animalistic nature kicked in and told him to move, run, get away from the danger he was inevitably in. Without thinking, he jumped into the water and swam furiously forwards, not caring where he would end up. And he turned around just in time to see a much bigger half naked monster with a mask the size of Draven's ego (laugh please) smash his fists down upon the island. Blood and dirt exploded into the air, but the tiger did not care. He swam. He just swam.
After an hour of struggling to kick his legs through this weird goo, the tiger flopped upon some wooden planks placed neatly upon a seemingly endless plot of land. He tried to focus on his breathing and what had just happened, rather than the screams and shouts of the fleshy meat things around him. All seemed quiet for a few seconds after the mass panic, until a hand slowly caressed his shoulder. He did not react, for he could tell that the fleshy meat thing would not hurt him. He slowly gazed up until he could see a soft face looking down at him. Not knowing what to do, he quickly stood up and looked all around him, and when he caught the eyes of a group of females giggling, he noticed they were looking at his lower body. With turning humanoid, he had gained all of the... humanoid futures that you'd expect of a man. After scanning the scene, his eyes finally settled on the purple maiden in front of him. "Welcome to Piltover," said the woman with a cheeky but caring tone.
For months, the woman trained the tiger how to be human, and how to live in Piltover. It wasn't long before she taught him how to use weapons and to fight crime, which there increasingly seemed to be in the area. The tiger learnt how to be faster, stronger and smarter than anyone else that he encountered, with the help of lots of books. But one book caught his eye in particular, especially the name of it. "The Murder Of Liam Galbraith", it stated on the front. He liked the name Galbraith, and started calling himself it ever since. Later on, he learnt of jobs and money and economy and all the fun things that you need to know to live in Piltover. So, he worked for the police for a while. Having your mentor be one of the best members of the police would've probably helped him to get a job there. But he tired of just going around and arresting drunken idiots. He wanted to stop crime.
He got the legal permissions from the police to work as a bounty hunter, putting up posters of famed criminals around Piltover, and legally killing them. He used his trusty pistol to take care of any threats, and if his constantly jammed gun didn't do the trick he'd use his claws. He famously slashed his posters if he had disposed of the criminal, which led to many fans learning of him, and being influenced by his good deeds, not necessarily killing everyone but saving people most of the time. It wasn't long before his mentor told him of the Rift, where he could show his true cunningness and fight alongside some of the greatest warriors in the land. He accepted. Not because of the thought of the fights, but because he wanted to fight for other people, and help out the lands that are truly suffering. So, with his night black fedora and dapper cloak, Galbraith slashes into the fight.
Gameplay
Galbraith has a couple of gimmicks to him to make him unique from the other champions. Similar to Jayce, he switches to melee and ranged attacks, but not like choice, so more like Gnar in that case. He also uses the element of surprise as a huge advantage, and has some pretty good combos he can utilize as well. Galbraith is best played as a jungler, with good gank potential and great sneak attacks, but he can also be played top with his punishing and harsh kit.
Passive: Orangé After six shots of his ranged auto attacks, Galbraith's gun jams and he temporarily switches his auto attacks from ranged to melee. He deals more damage and has increased attack speed in his melee form. Whilst in this form his Q ability also changes. After 5 seconds in his melee form, he gains his ranged basic attacks again.
Q: Critical Shot/ Critical Strike Critical shot is Galbraith's ranged version of this ability. Galbraith shoots a piercing shot forwards that deals moderate damage to enemies it hits. If it hits an enemy with a shield, he breaks the shield, deals the damage to the enemies regular health and the bullet is destroyed (so it can't pierce through the enemy). Critical strike is Galbraith's melee version of this ability. Galbraith quickly slashes forwards in a curved line and deals moderate damage to any enemies he pierces through. If Galbraith hits an enemy champion with health less than his current health, he stops at them and slows them.
W: Execute (Don't worry, it's not an actual execute) Galbraith selects a position at a wall and attaches himself to it and cloaks himself. He can stay there for a maximum of ten seconds before he automatically gets kicked out of the cloak or he can detach himself by simply moving or getting hit by an enemy attack. If any enemy is near Galbraith when he is attached to the wall, he can right click them to grab them and slam them into where he previously was, dealing heavy damage.
E: Gun Toss Galbraith throws a jammed gun at a target enemy, very briefly stunning them. If the enemy has any jungle buffs on them (red or blue), Galbraith steals a portion of their power, gaining some bonuses depending on what buffs the enemy has.
R: Ascending Oblivion Galbraith briefly charges up, before spinning around and collecting nearby enemies up around him. After a short duration, he will throw all collected enemies in the direction that he is moving.
So that's it. It's pretty bad and it's the first time I've ever done something like this. I'd like to show you my drawing of him but I suck at drawing, so that'll have to wait.
One final question though...
