LORE https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/gamelore/images/5/54/Karn%2C_Silver_Golem_%28MtGO%29.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20150127011901 Art by Wizards of the Coast Durand, a famous sculptor of artificial beings known throughout the land for the creation of many golems that have shaped history, is dead. Or, at least, that is what many thought when he suddenly disappeared, his body unable to be found. In truth, Durand had become something far more durable and powerful than anything a mortal body could contain. After his creation Galio inspired an entire nation, Durand retreated into the hardened clay mountains to the south, where he is thought to have died of old age. Instead, however, his soul was transferred into the body of a golem of his own design. This golem, solemn and wise, has appeared in many books and stories throughout history, seen performing heroic acts and sculpting works of art for nations to look at in awe. In recent times, the golem has been seen meandering around the foothills of Demacia. It has been seen creating many sentinels, as if making an army for a coming war. None know what it is doing and the Demacians dare not disturb it. The last time the golem was disturbed, those who challenge it were sent flying over the trees and back into their garrisons. Whatever malicious force the golem is preparing for, it will not share with others in fear of creating terror in the masses. The golem simply explains that, in time, Demacia will be thankful for it's services and, when that time comes, they would all need to brace together for the coming storm. Some suspect the golem to be referring to Noxus, but the golem knows that is not the case. A much darker force looms on the horizon, preparing to devour the world whole. If Durand has anything to say about it, that darkness will be sent back to the abyss that it crawled out of.

Durand gains 15/25/35 (+1% Max Health) bonus attack damage for 10 seconds for every enemy champion hit. Inanimate clay golems created this way interact with Durand's abilities in the same way that golems created by Life From Earth do, using the current rank of Life From Earth to determine the strength of the effect (minimum Rank 1 if not leveled). GAMEPLAY PHILOSOPHY Durand is a Warden that packs a real punch against anyone who would dare harm his friends. His passive, Clay Shock Absorption, is the strongest defensive steroid in the game, providing damage reduction by bolstering your health. It is a multiplier that scales off of what is multiplies essentially, so anyone who wants to kill Durand is going to have to go through a lot of bulk. Furthermore, Durand's first ability, Stalwart Defender, provides him with a shield that scales off of his bonus health, making him even more durable! And even more past that, his third ability, Life Pulse, not only heals him for a portion of his bonus health, but also provides him with bonus armor and magic resist temporarily that scales off of his max health. Basically, Durand is very likely the hardest to kill champion to exist and likely to ever exist. However, the downside is his base movement speed, armor, and magic resist are all quite low, and, perhaps most importantly of all, Durand has 0 base health regeneration, meaning all damage dealt to him sticks until he heals it with Life Pulse, requiring mana, or purchases items to help him with this, requiring gold. Durand's kit is rather slow to perform as well, but packs a real punch if he can land his abilities. Stalwart Defender is one of the most damaging abilities in the game, but relies on several things lining up just right to hit at full power. His second ability, Life From Earth, is a unique ability that lets Durand either deal even more damage with Stalwart Defender (and stun enemies more reliably) or animate golems in order to provide his team with meat shields that can also deal decent damage if left alive. They can also simply act as long duration impassable terrain, blocking off some narrow pathways in the jungle for very long durations. Durand's ultimate is not only an initiation spell, but also provides him with some options to follow up on, such as using Stalwart Defender on a cluster of enemies to deal a lot of damage or using Life Pulse to potentially create a large army of golems to smack down on enemies. It's up to the Durand player to choose which is more effective based on how the golem's line up.

Im surprised nobody commented on this concept before I did. I up-voted it a few days ago but with my work schedule, I never got into a review. I just want to say this is an Awesome Concept in my opinion. I like the fact that a Warden/Fighter has the ability to make impassible terrain and interact with it. It reminds me of Trundle meets Jarvan/Azir. I got a small visual on how I personally would play the champ. Using W->Q combos for engages and W->E combos for zoning during laning phase. I really don't like to critique much on the boards, but rather suggest. The only thing I think would be a cool (and fairly new) idea would be that the bonus damage on (Q) with his shield up should do high burst depending on the shields strength, but looses the shield upon landing against champions. So it would be like a give-and-take move that has a bit of draw back. If this were the case It would mean enemy players can lessen the blow of the (Q) by harassing, but if they don't completely destroy the shield, they'd take a bit of bonus damage on top of the normal damage it does.

I hope this review helps; if you ever have time please review my concept Sanders, The Colonel of Progress

he could build straight health and have up to 8 golems alive at once with a perfect ult with each one having like 900 health. Very interesting concept. Also nice to see an ad support for once, perhaps he could make ap bots more viable.

edit: also really great lore, i always wanted to find more out about durand, this would be great.
