Rorrim, the Mirror's Reverse
Super old concept from the old forums. Figure I'd drag it back up and tinker with it.
Lore:
Excerpt from journal of Head Magician Enogton: Entry XXX: We've finally succeeded. It was crazy, it was nearly impossible, but we did it. We brought over a person through a mirror! This will truly go down in history as one of the research team's greatest accomplishments.
Entry XXX: Its come to my attention that as the leader of the research team, I may have to explain what we've done. I'll try and put in layman's terms so that I know how to explain it to all the buffoons out there. For years, we've held the theory that there could be an entire world behind every mirror. Imagine what wonders we could find there! And we've finally done it. Using one of the research assistants, Daed, we were able to not only trap but bring his reflection into our world! I'm sure there will be plenty of interesting things he can tell us. We've chosen to call this living reflection 'Rorrim'. A witticism of sorts.
Entry XXX: Discussions with Rorrim are not going as planned. He simply refuses to speak. It was our hopes that he would cooperate with us. If not for our knowledge, then atleast for the possibility to return to his own world. Ah well, slow and steady.
Entry XXXX: He's finally started talking to us. No, that's incorrect. Not to us. He's just talking. Its very strange. Some of the things he's saying make no sense. I'll have to write them down next time for posterity. We've decided to hold him in an anti-magic cell, just to be safe. We're not scared or anything. Still....
Entry XXX: I don't know whether to call it stupidity, blasphemy, or something else entirely. The words he speaks cannot be anything but lies, after all. How can he claim that he comes from the real world? That WE'RE the fake reflections? That WE'VE been the ones being studied? Not the words of a sane man, that is for sure. Still, it does make for some interesting theories.
Entry XXX: This project is turning out to be a failure. Not only are we not getting any valuable information out of Rorrim, but the research team is scared half to death. Daed was found the other day, poor lad. Died of a heart attack. Given his young age, its rather odd. A side effect of the summoning? I hope not, I need that not on my conscience.
Entry XXX: We have to scrap this project. Its out of control. Two of my researchers have quit, and another has gone raving mad. Is it coincidence that they were the ones who spent the longest with Rorrim? Of course, I'm fine. I'm perfect. How could I be otherwise? I may need to get myself checked at the infirmary though. Just as a precaution. During one of my observation periods with Rorrim, I saw him playing with what appeared to be a small fireball. An impossibility of course. The anti-magic wards are still strong. It brought up a curious point though. What if 'magic' to him is different than 'magic' to us? Could he be stronger than he looks? Is he trying to trick us into a false sense of security? Very troubling..
Entry XXX: The High Command has had to step in. And I'm glad. I'm done with this project. I'm done with everything. I'll makes one last public appearance, and then I'm done. How can I explain it otherwise? That Rorrim broke out of his cell with ease, using powers that looked like ours but weren't? And he was LAUGHING. The damn bastard was laughing, yelling things like "This world will be ours again." and "I'll clear the way, my friends!" I've heard they're going to try and use him against Demacia. I don't think they understand. You can't control some...THING like that. I really need some rest. I can't sleep. How can I sleep? If what he's saying is true, then he WANTED us to summon him. He wanted to see that the doors could be opened. And we opened them. And doors, they work both ways.
