Grax, The Deranged Abettor. Play Style Once a revered Noxian adviser, Grax's fall from power leaves him greedy to return. Unctuous and Uninhibited, Grax locks down foes from far away while helping allies to secure the kill. In game Grax is a powerful long range support who buffs his allies while locking down a multitude of enemies via his ultimate. Suggested Stats: -Cooldown Reduction -Mana Regeneration -Ability Power item 3401 item 3158 item 3504 item 3089 Abilities Grax's Passive is Rapacity, which has two important parts. Every nearby death Grax encounters boosts his mana regen by 2.5% and his cooldown reduction by .2%. This ability has a max of 100 stacks. Upon death Grax loses all stacks and restores mana to all nearby allies based on the amount of stacks he had. (.5% mana restored for ever stack). Rapacity has no cooldown so Grax releases all stacks on every death. Be well positioned when you die, as the mana restoration has a relatively small range. Next is Grax's Q, Suppressive Fire. Grax loads his rifle with a ricocheting bullet that marks all enemies hit with sedation. Suppressive fire pierces enemies and deals less damage for every wall hit. Enemies marked with sedation are slowed for 2 seconds and then stunned for .5 seconds. Use Suppressive Fire to lock down tight corridors and aid an allies retreat or to prevent an enemy from escaping. This is Grax's main form of crowd control but it's lengthy cooldown requires him to use it wisely. Grax's W is Tactful Advance which has a passive and active component. Passively it gives Grax and his nearby allies bonus movement speed based on Grax's mana regeneration. Activating Tactful Advance removes all slows from nearby allies and gives them to Grax. If the amount of slows exceeds 100% Grax is stunned instead for the duration of the slow. Nearby allies do not gain the passive bonus when Tactful Advance is on cooldown and instead Grax gains 150% of the bonus. Grax's E is Passion which has 2 stances. The first stance is Compassion, and while in this stance Grax is granted increased movement speed and mana regeneration at the cost of some damage. While in Compassion stance Suppressive Fire no longer affects enemies but instead allies, granting them bonus health and mana regen upon being hit. The second stance is Rage which gives Grax bonus ability power based on the amount of stacks of Rapacity he has. Grax's ultimate is Repression. Grax places an electrical conduit at his location, which after .5 seconds, sends forth a beam of energy slowing enemies walking away and dealing moderate damage. This ability can be recast 3 times withing 15 seconds and each conduit lasts 6 seconds. Allies caught in the path of the conduit are given bonus damage to their next auto attack based on the cooldown reduction of Grax. This ability heals allies in Compassion stance and drains mana from enemies in Rage stance. Each conduit will act as a wall for Suppressive Fire. Use this ability to control enemy teams movement and give a damage bonus to allies during a teamfight. If a conduit beam crosses another both will end prematurely but will deal extra damage to enemies. During laning phase your goal is to heal your allies and poke enemies switching between stances at the appropriate times. Due to Suppressive Fire's long cooldown it is important not to waste it as it is your only form of crowd control until you hit level 6. Where as some supports such as Leona and Nami Initiate fights Grax prefers to stay with his team and offer secondary initiation, helping allies join the fight after someone has started it. Grax excels at setting up fights with his q-r combo and disrupting enemies before while allies catch up. After the fight has broken out start deciding which stance to be in. If your team needs extra damage then choose Rage, if your teammates need additional peeling, choose Compassion. Then use your ultimate and your w to lock down your opponents and to speed up allies to engage in the fight. Set up your ult so that it creates a small corridor trapping high priority targets then let loose your q which will effectively lock down an opponent while your team makes quick work of them. Gameplay Since Grax has low impact early it is important to ward and watch the map for ganks. His above average attack range will help poke down enemies as well as secure last hits that teammates cannot achieve. Watch enemy movement and use Suppressive Fire's ricochet to poke enemies from unexpected angles. Once you've hit 6 keep an eye on the location of your jungler and coordinate a gank for an easy kill. Grax is excellent at entrapping enemies and can keep carries preoccupied with them as your carries work on their team. Remember that Grax is not a tanky character and has no real escape or gap closer. Stay near your allies to be most effective without dying quickly. Synergy Zyra With key placement of plants and conduits Zyra and Grax can quickly take down an opponent. Snares from Zyra can help set up Grax's Repression and since Grax is quite squishy Zyra's ultimate can both engage or peel for them. Twitch Grax's Repression creates a good area for Twitch to unload his ultimate and the two of them can mow down an enemy team without much hesitation. Nautilus Grax can help nautilus initiate, buffing his movement speed and cleansing him of slows, and then set up more crowd control after Nautilus locks down the carry. Struggles against Ahri A mobile assassin who can dash quickly through the conduits and take out Grax without much opposition leaves Grax in a vulnerable position. Kalista Kalista is too mobile of a carry to really care to much about Grax's ultimate and will kite around him until he dies. MissFortune Miss Fortune can easily apply Grievous Wounds to an entire team negating the healing portions of Grax.

Lore: Few know now of the name Grax. Once he was one of the most renown advisers to the leaders of Noxus, but his greed overcame him. Returning from Ionia after the Noxian Invasion Grax's ship was captured by the pirates of bilgewater. Unable to save himself or those onboard they were held for ransom. Noxus complied to the wishes of the pirates however Grax was viewed as a failure for both his inability to win the war with Ionia and the inability to protect himself. Grax however found it hard to let go and continuously returned to Noxus High Command before finally settling as adviser to General Swain. Becoming old, Grax needs to quickly make a name for himself before he is out of time, but his avarice leaves much to be desired.

his passive promotes dying! while it does promote dying in an honorable way, you should never promote death! Explain your self!
