I have to wonder, why are abilities not more versitile?

Thresh is cancerous to botlane and rightfully hated but I think his kit design is the best for an individual then any other support. Because you can choose to do some much with one ability while most other champs abilities' serve only one purpose making them quite linear. Soraka is just q poke heal, w other heal, e silence and r ambulance requiem, her strengths while quite defined and easy to balance make her very boring and only the act of playing the game itself makes her fun (cuz league is a fun game). Her play style virtually doesn't change as the game progresses and I think we need to avoid things like that only because games become a very predictable affair and people lose patience... Plus you have meta Nazi's.

TD;LR Thresh is a great champ because it (no gender) accurately reflects your own ability to play based on the freedom given to the player, soraka is simply a reflection on how well you know the game. These are just examples of two different champ designs within the same role, which is more fun and dynamic?

He's fun because he's so overloaded, as is usual with CertainlyT's designs. Overloaded is fun for the person playing, not for those playing against them. And if you haven't been paying attention, plenty of recent champs are versatile. Soraka suffered because her boring passive playstyle had to be updated without losing her core identity. The new champions don't have that issue.

You want unique and versatile? Here, have a link to my latest champion concept, Moira, the Fate's Edge. I'll admit, they can use a bit more balancing, but the kit overall is good. I'm better with the base kit than I am with raw numbers lol. http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/skin-champion-concepts/7Ez6ijMs-aima-the-fates-edge
