[Champion Suggestion] Magnus, the Titan General
Lore: Before the League of Legends was formed, Magnus was a Noxian general. While Noxus and Demacia fought, Magnus was a powerful force to oppose. Magnus would often tear straight through enemy lines and rip apart his foes with his bare hands.
During one Noxian raid on a Demacian camp, Demacian reinforcements arrived just as Magnus ordered his forces to attack. Magnus refused to retreat and continued to press the attack, regardless of the fact that his forces were severely outnumbered. After many casualties on both sides, Demacian forces finally prevailed and captured Magnus. Unable to move, Magnus was taken to Damacia to be imprisoned. Due to his reputation, Magnus was placed in the highest security cell possible, chains upon chains binding him. There Magnus stayed years after the League was established, until he was all but forgotten.
Years of disrepair has begun to settle on Magnus's cell. He knew it was time. Using his massive strength, he snapped the chains that bound him. Breaking free from his cell, Demacian guards came to apprehend him. They were insects compared to Magnus. He broke their bones with ease. Magnus would return to Noxus, but not before causing some chaos. He murdered the guards. He freed the prisoners. Once the criminals flooded the streets of Demacia, he obliterated the Demacian prison tearing it apart piece by piece. Magnus was unstoppable. He continued his reign of destruction through Demacia, their forces powerless to hinder his rampage. After causing all that carnage, he started his trek back to Noxus. Upon reaching his destination, Magnus was shocked that the Rune Wars were over and has been replaced with the League. However, Magnus now fights in the League for Noxus, perhaps to regain his honor for his defeat all those years ago, or perhaps to relish in fighting once more.
Description: Magnus is massive for a human, measuring at 8'1, 930 lbs. Magnus wields no weapons, using only his hands for battle, and has no magic or armor to rely on either. Magnus instead has a strong body, with skin like tough leather. He uses his incredible strength to charge headfirst into battle, tearing apart as many men he can lay his hands on. This mountain of a man wears no shirt, but has dark tattoos covering his body (but not his face), as well as many scars. Magnus almost always has a large, toothy grin on his face, but his smile is very sinister. Magnus has a very large sense of pride and honor, but he is also arrogant and reckless.
Passive: Seek the Strongest- If there are 2 or more enemy champions near each other and Magnus is nearby, Magnus will identify a Challenger from the group. Magnus's Challenger will be marked with a symbol visible only to Magnus (Magnus will also have an arrow icon under his feet pointing to the Challenger). The Challenger will always have the highest maximum health percentage of the enemy group, or if they are equal, the enemy champion with the highest base health. There will always be at most one Challenger on the map (so it doesn't matter if there are only 2 enemies near Magnus or all 5, there will only be 1 challenger). A Challenger will switch to a different enemy champion whenever Magnus strikes them with any attack and at least 4 seconds pass, if a different challenger is applicable. Magnus will deal an additional 5% of the Challenger's health as true damage whenever he hits them with an ability or a basic attack. This cannot proc on the same champion within 2 seconds.
Skill 1: Heavy Throw- A short ranged attack that grabs an enemy champion. If grabbed, Magnus suppresses the target for 1 second. After the suppression ends, Magnus throws the enemy champion in the direction the cursor is facing. If Magnus is throwing the Challenger, Magnus will heal himself after the Challenger is thrown. If Magnus is stunned, knocked up, silenced, or supressed while suppressing his target, Heavy Throw will fail and will go on cooldown. Heavy Throw will deal damage right before suppressing the target. This attack will deal 40 / 70 / 100 / 130 / 160 plus 40% of his attack damage as physical damage. If throwing a Challenger, Magnus will heal himself for 10% / 15% / 20% / 25% / 30% of his maximum health plus 80% of his ability power. This will have a cooldown of 18 seconds. This will cost 70 mana to use.
Skill 2: Forceful Charge- Magnus charges shoulder-first in the direction the cursor is facing. Due to his large bulk, any enemies that get hit by the charge will be knocked aside. The Challenger will be carried with Magnus if they are hit, as opposed to being knocked to the side. After Magnus charges, he will get a move speed boost that decays over 3 seconds ONLY if he is moving towards the Challenger. The cooldown of this ability will be decreased by 2 seconds whenever Magnus deals true damage to the Challenger with his passive. This attack will deal 30 / 50 / 70 / 90 / 110 plus 30% of his attack damage as physical damage. It will also increase his move speed by 60% / 65% / 70% / 75% / 80% when moving towards a Challenger (decaying over 3 seconds), and will have a cooldown of 16 / 15 / 14 / 13 / 12 seconds. This will cost 50 / 40 / 30 / 20 / 10 mana to use.
Skill 3: Body Shot- Magnus attacks with a powerful blow, making his next basic attack deal additional damage. This will also reset the auto-attack timer. Using this attack on the Challenger will also stun them for a short time. Melee range also increases to 150 when using this attack. This attack will deal an additional 60% / 65% / 70% / 75% / 80% of his physical damage, will stun Challengers for 1 / 1.25 / 1.5 / 1.75 / 2 seconds, and will have a cooldown of 14 / 13 / 12 / 11 / 10 seconds. This will cost 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 / 60 mana to use.
Skill 4: Battle Hardened- Magnus relishes the call to battle. Magnus takes 90% reduced damage from all sources except from the Challenger. However, Magnus will also only deal half damage to everything except for the Challenger. Magnus also deals double true damage against only the Challenger. This ability can only be used when a Challenger is active, and half of the cooldown will be refreshed if all Challengers are eliminated before duration is up. This ability will last for 6 / 8 / 10 seconds, and will have a cooldown of 120 / 90 / 60 seconds. This will cost no mana
**Playstyle: **Magnus fits very well into the support role as a brawler-type. Not only are there two enemy champions in his lane, triggering his passive, but his large amount of CC he posesses can really benefit his lane partner. Be sure to switch to a new target quickly if the Challenger switches to a different champion, or try to finish off whoever is currently in your grasp. In team fights, Magnus becomes a chaotic terror. Magnus does his best in the heart of the enemy team, where he can deal massive damage to the Challenger, or whoever he sees fit. His passive only works when having at least 2 enemies to fight against, so try having some backup before diving into a 2v1. Unlike most champions, where the goal is to focus the weakest champ, Magnus enjoys going head-to-head with the strongest of them, dealing the most damage when clashing with the biggest and meanest of his foes.
