What if...Yasuo

So i really like the concept of Yasuo, thematically he's probably one of the best designed, if not the best designed champs in league. On that note though. I don't think riot intended for yasuo to be played like he is, by that i mean, deceptive and hard to track game play that simply fools the opponent and frustrates them. Hard to gauge limits that basically make yasuo have infinite possibility in the eye's of the opponent and when put into practice is kinda of true. Nothing really hurts a yasuo, you can't counter pick one, you can't build for one and eventually that yasuo is inevitably going to get his 2 items and he's going to be a pain to deal with it. Shutting him down in lane doesn't work, even if your technically better than the yasuo considering your laning phase against him, he just need's two items to become fed and near impossible to deal with.

This is due in part by his skills but his skills wouldn't be an issue if he actually had a resource, currently none of his skills have a cost so the yasuo player doesn't have to play around having a resource and is pretty much capable of anything. I was thinking that the mechanic of his Wind that he collect's by walking a certain number of units could actually be used as a resource for one of his ability's. That ability is "Windwall" it doesn't make much sense that yasuo has to collect wind in order to shield himself but can, at any time, force it into a zone in front of him just by slashing the air. Not to mention the incredible power of this ability really does warrant it having some sort of cost or at least a long cool down, of which it has neither.

If yasuo's resource was changed to be related to his passive wind shield it would give the enemy player a way to gauge what yasuo is capable of, of course we'd have to change it so that a person can't just keep yasuo from having wind by auto attacking him (i do that already) but i think it's a good idea. Instead of windwall being a utility spell he can use on command, it makes sense to make the yasuo player have to think about it and to reward yasuo player's for playing yasuo properly and being extremely mobile while also giving the enemy counter-play by giving them a bar that shows them "Hey Yasuo can't windwall me and completely dodge everything for no cost."

Just a thought.
