Nice. I almost had a penta on anivia as well this patch : http://euw.op.gg/summoner/userName=An%C3%ACv%C3%ACa Sadly, the game was ended by a huge wave with megavasalls bevore I could get the last one.

Looking at the stats, you will also notice that I performed exceptionally well in the whole game. (More than double the damage of any other champ in that game. 19/0/10 stats, holy moly!)

Does this mean that anivia was not nerfed after all? No, it doesn't mean that.

As your provided a video, I can't stop from analysing it. First things first, your enemy pretty much gave you that last kill for free. One could argue that this was intentional, but I do not think so. Once you check your enemy rankeds, one will notice that they are around bronze 2 to silver 4. Your team is similiar rated to them.

Now, watching the video in half the speed made it possible for me see how well you have been performing in that fight. The start was pretty basic. They had no vision on you while you could see their movement thanks to your ally and the ward in the red pit. The stun was in that case a guaranteed hit on both teemo and lee sin who were next to each other. Funny enough. Lee sind was not hit by that q. He got zero damage from it and was not stunned either, solely the ult ticks damaged him.

Teemo on the other hand got the double q, the first 3 ult ticks, thunderlords and the empowered e in his face. Looking at his health bar, he had a little less than 2000 life. Since q and e are roughly doing 1000 dmg lategame on fullbuild. It was obvious that he would go down. It seems he had no defensive stats in his build (looking at his build on op.gg you can see that he was literaly building ap only, lyandris being the only item to give him at least some health)

Your next kill, jayce, was being cc chained and damaged mostly by your allies poppy and jax, while they somehow managed to get him into the ult of yours in the last few moments of his life.

The third kill, nami, had bad positioning in that time ( what is a squishy support doing at melee range)? Moreover, she suffered the same fate as jayce, getting chunked down by poppy and zil mostly, with you getting the kill thanks to a single q at the end. (Your ult was hardly involed in the fight so far)

Lee and ashe now try to flee for obvious reasons, so you flash in order to get in range for your spells. Ashe heals to get ms speed and more time to react to damage overall. They decide to move downwards ( ashe was first moving up but decided against it, which was costing her valuable time to escape) At first a good idea still, as the blast cone could have easily saved both of them.

Your wall( the first wall in the whole fight) manages to trap both of them with the blast cone. Your second ult placement in that fight traped them in a deadly space, zil and poppy backing you up. Lee sin, obviously in panic, went back and for not realy following a plan. He could have used the plant to escape, place a ward he could have jumped to in case he had one, or wait for ashe to get over the wall with either flash or the cone and follow her. None of that happened. Instead he waited long enough for poppy to slam him in the wall, deciding his fait.

And ashe.. she could have gotten away easily with a wall and a longer walkway parting you. But instead she decided to walk way too close to you and got punished for it with anoher q e hit which put her life to an end with how little defensiv stats she has. Just like teemo. She had ms as back up but either she missused it or had to use it previously in the fight.

Either way. They missplayed this one obviously. Not gonna blame them on that elo. Moreover, you as anivia did the same old anivia would have done. Most of your kills were earned by placing q with a followed e on easy targets or by your team chunking them and holding them in your ult.

In a high elo game, your enemies would be much harder to hit by your q, they would not missplace themself and you would have to work more with your ult, q, wall and e combined to get comparable results. This fights was mostly splitt. At first it was a 2 vs 2, quickly followed by a 3 vs 2 then it went into a 3 vs 3 and so on. All of that on a very small part of the jungle. (Look at the area the first 3 kills of yours happened, they all are in range of one well placed anivia ult)

What this teamfight basicaly showed to me is, what I already expected to happen in this elo for anivia. They simply do not know how to abuse anivias weakness and missplay themself so very often. Those kind of missplays rarely happen in higher elo, which is why this scenario is utopian.

The same was true for my quadra btw. I do not think that I am in high elo.

But why do I care if that is true? Because I wan't anivia to perform equaly well on all elos. I got plat 5 and expect this season to play more rankeds than I ever did. I do not see balance in her kit if it is more abusable and less rewarding than most other mages kits. This might not effect normal games on any elo or ranked games below dia, but it does affect her viability no less.
