hey guys I'm batdan and as we all know Yorick is a bit of a mess, he has very little counter play in lane but he drops of so hard into the late game that it brings up this sort of "win lane but lose the game" whenever you play the guy. He used to be a beast able to 1 shot people in the late game but these days he is not even in the free hero rotation. So i was thinking of a way Yorick could be reworked that he still sticks to the theme of cursed grave-keeper while making him both diverse and fun to play, and this is the "prototype" with the intention of giving him 2 build paths, a high aoe burst mage, or a tanky ad brawler.

Passive: Family's curse: yorick is cursed to endlessly work with the dead, for each minion that dies near yorick he gains 1 soul and for each champion/dragon/baron/rift herald he gets 5, up to a maximum of 10, the range in which he collects these souls is an 800 aoe and these souls are used to power yoricks abilitys. for each soul that yorick holds onto he gains 2% resistance to all damage up to a maximum of 20% resistance to all damage.

1st ability: Help from the dead: Cost: 2 souls Cooldown: 10/8/4/2/1 seconds Duration: 10/20/30/40/until death Range: 550 yorick summons a ghoul to fight with him, these ghouls health scales with (20/30/35/40/50) percent of yoricks max hp and they deal damage equal to 30 percent of yoricks current damage. The ghouls gain increased move speed depending on how low enemy champions are, gaining 1% increase in move speed for every 2% of an enemy champions hp pool is missing. Specifics : ghouls prioritse champions, yorick can have a max of 5 ghouls out at a time.

2nd ability: violent detonation: Cost: 5/5/4/4/2 souls Cooldown: 6 seconds Range of to detonate ghouls: 900 range of ghoul explosion: 500

Yorick overloads all ghouls inside the 900 unit range causing them to detonate after a short 0.5 second delay, dealing 60/70/90/100/110 magic damage plus (80% Ap) Yorick is healed for 10/20/30/40/50 hp for each ghoul detonated. specifics: Max base damage of detonations, aka five ghouls all hitting (300,350,450,500,550) magic damage, maximum healing (50/100/150/200/250)

3rd ability: share the burden: Cost: free Cooldown: 10 seconds Range: 500 _Duration: _6 seconds Yoricks shares his curse of the undead to an enemy champion or minion dealing 50% of his ad and ap to a target and affecting them with the heavy burden debuff, this debuff causes the enemy to be slowed by (25/30/35/40/45) percent and if they are killed they give yorick and additional (2/4/6/8/10) souls (halved if the affected target is a minion)

Ultimate ability: Empty the graves Cost: 10 souls Cooldown: 120/90/60 seconds Duration: 35 seconds Yorick calls forth those he has buried summoning 5 giant ghouls, these ghouls have infinite health and deal 50/60/70 percent of yoricks damage but yorick takes 25% of the damage dealt to each ghoul. The giant ghouls can be detonated to explode in a larger 650 aoe and each ghoul deal 120% of yoricks ap as oppose to 80% but take twice as long to explode. Specifics: the ghouls are tethered to yorick and can not go further than 900 range from yorick, The ghouls only wish to attack that which is alive, and therefore will not attack any towers or inhibitors.

so what do you think, this is just a little thing i came up with in my spare time, keep in mind that these numbers most likely would not be final but i love the idea that you could either invest into becoming a tanky commander of a ghoul army or go for a move team fight oriented ap build focused on controlling your opponents positioning with high damage explosions all while having to manage your souls as to nor run out in an important fight. anyway feel free to gives any criticisms/feedback/ideas you want, toodles :)

As with every Yorick rework topic that appears, I'm gonna post a link to my own.

That said, his team fighting ability is actually worse here. His ultimate is a potential 225% total damage boost for the enemy. Going up against somebody like Anivia would just gib you entirely.

His main problem isn't fixed either. Unless these corpse explosions are significant, all you're doing is trading off Yorick's strengths for severe weaknesses.

I like that he's not in the free rotation, no one expects ap glass cannon yorick top.
